I have an HP Pavilion laptop and when I closed my monitor (while it the computer was still on), I reopened it and it went black and then reappeared to windows but the icons looked bigger and fuzzy, almost blurry...I am typing in this mode now, what could be the problem?

This sounds like a changed resolution problem. You can find the properties of the monitor by finding a open space on the desktop screen and left clicking on it . Click on the setting tab and adjust to your viewing preference. or you can go to start and then open the control panel in windows. Go to display and open it. Click on the settings tab and check the resolution settings. If you have the owners manual handy check for the manufacturers setting. Then try resetting the resolution of the screen to your viewing preference. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

I have an hp pavilion dv 4000 and the cursor sticks and when I close the screen and then reopen, sometimes it works, but then it sticks again.

Check the cable that attaches your touch pad to the motherboard.

It may have come lose and so when you close the screen the moevement realigns it, until you move the laptop again and it comes lose again.

The problem you are experiencing is related to the screen of your Hp.

Loose Monitor on a HP Pavilion ZV6233nr Laptop

It seems that some screw that was loose is now totally out of socket. The latch assembly might be disbalanced due to that. To me it doesn't seem to be a broken latch.

Cant get monitor to turn on

try another monitor -

if it works - go into monitors and remove the drivers.
Re-install the monitor you are asking about.
If it doesn't work -- it has a problem - if it is LCD - you can get a new one or a good used one a lot cheaper then trying to fix the old one.

Best of it.

The osd main menu has appeared on my hp pavilion f1703 monitor

Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager->Monitor. select and uninstall. Then let Windows detect the monitor and re-install the drivers for your monitor. Do the same for the disply adapter in the Ctrl Panel.

HP pavilion dv2000 screen black

Maybe there are to many programs running in the background and thats interefering with the sleep function of the laptop cause it can't allocate enough memory to allow the screen to come back on.

in the search box in your start menu, type in msconfig and press enter. This will take you into the system configuration utility click on the startup tab and this will show you all the programs that are started up when you boot up into windows.

Go ahead an click on the button that says disable all, this will uncheck all of the boxes. Click on apply and then click on Ok and let the computer restart.

Once it restarts and you get back into windows, try again and you should be able to close the lid and then bring it back up and have the screen come back on like normal.

HP Pavilion dv1000 works fine on CRT but no LCD screen

Sounds like the LCD backlight or inverter went bad. More probably the inverter, and that's good because,of the two, it's usually cheaper and easier to replace.
Before considering those, check the lid switch to make sure that it is operating correctly and not stuck down.
