Try this :
This works on most mini electronic devices like cellular phones and degital cameras etc .

it sounds crazy .

Remove the back (or Cover ) of the phone( or Camera ), battery, and SIM if your phone ( or Device ) uses one , DIRECTLY
.

Then, with a q-tip (or something similar), dab the connection points (shiny, goldish) on the battery, SIM, and phone. This should aid in drying.

Finally, place all contents in a bag of uncooked rice (separately, do not put back together just yet). it sounds crazy , but it draws the moisture out.

It normally is working after just 7-8 hours, but I would wait 12 hours or even 24 hours before attempting to use (just to be sure).

beware the water damage, despite being dry now, will void any warranties. Also, the phone's hardware is now weakened and if you drop it, the green mother board and circuitry could shatter - so be more careful.

This does work on electronic devices aside from phones as well. Simply tailor it to your device. If you do not have a SIM (Verizon phones, cameras, all others), remove only the battery. If you have an iPhone/iPod or GPS and cannot remove the battery, simply make sure it is all the way off, then put it in the rice bag. All electronic devices react the same to the rice trick.

How much water got in the phone? If you dont want to disassemble the phone, put in in a zip lock bag of rice for 24 hours and see if it starts. If not you can take it apart and dry it out.

My phone fell in the toilet on friday night and I would like to know if there is a way to fix it before i buy another phone PLEASE HELP!1 :)

One of the best things to do is put it in a bowl of rice right away. The rice will absorb the moisture from the phone.

Take the back cover off, take the battery out (if applicable), and then put the phone in the rice.

Hopefully it is not too late and this will help.

How can i take my lg prime phone aprt so i can let it dry because i dropped it in water

Hi,

Hi, when ever a phone drops inside the water, first remove the battery cause the battery life might be damaged, and also in that process the phone is still working because the battery is still inside the phone.

You will need to service the phone for the phone to be free from water, cause if the water dries inside the phone it will damage an IC or a chip inside the phone and it might cause more damage to the phone.
you can use the below link to know how to disassemble LG phones, just type the model of the phone on the search box.

lg-phones.org/lg-optimus-7-disassembly-guide.html

After, disassembling the phone is the next step.Get a methylated spirit and a small brush, remove the board of the phone and deep the brush inside the methylated spirit, brush gently on the board of the phone. After brushing, get a dryer to dry up the board of the phone and live it for a while to dry.

After some minutes, assemble the phone back and fix in the battery. Make sure during the process you are charging the battery of the phone.

I guess that's all you need.

Hope it helped.

Thanks for using fixya..

My mobile is damage by water how can i solve this problem

Get the Phone Out of the water. Do NOT power it on.
This may sound too obvious a step but a few extra seconds that your phone spends in water can reduce whatever chances you had of saving your phone.
If however your phone has spent more than a few minutes in water try removing the battery when the whole gadget is under water itself .
Powering up the phone when it is wet causes the maximum damage to your phone.

2 Remove the battery and SIM card
Water + battery is a bad combination for your phone. Remove the battery as soon as possible. SIM card too must be removed immediately as water on SIM cards may erase all your contacts stored in the SIM.
3 Dry the phone as much as possible
Try and pat dry the phone, the battery and the SIM card. Using a paper towel is advisable for removing water quickly.
4 Metciulously Disassemble the phone completely
This is one of the most important steps on your phone's path to recovery. If possible take your phone to a local mobile phone servicing shop and ask him/her top disassemble the phone completely for you. Make sure the circuits are not powered up by the shopkeeper.
If you are worried that disassembling the phone will make your warranty/guarantee void you need to know that phones come with Water Damage indicators which change colors with the slightest hint of water. No phone warranty covers water damage.
5 Dry all the phone components with a dessicant
After disassembling the phone immerse each component in a bowl of uncooked rice / silica gel packs. These dessicants absorb water effectively and draw out water from all nooks and corners of your phone. Heating / Vaporising the water is a bad idea cause that would leave salts on your phone's circuitry and cause corrosion and eventual death of your phone. Hence drying with uncooked rice/silica gels where water is removed by absorption is the best option. Leave it there for a couple of days.
6 Show patience and let every component lie under a table lamp for a couple of days
Now your phone is almost on its way to complete recovery provided you show Adequate patience. You may keep the bowl of rice under a table lamp for this duration . Changing the rice /silica gels though not a mandatory step, can be pretty effective and useful.
7 Assemble , Pray and Switch on!

Seawater damage, dont switch on at all, allthough cleaned as best as could.??? samsung omnia i900

hello, all you need to do is to disassemble the phone without trying to power it on after the water damage.after it has been disassembled, you then dry up all the panels, batteries and screen and other affected part.if you have tried powering it up immediately after you brought it out of water, this could damage the panel and battery together.if after you have done what i advice and it still does not power on,i would advice you visit an authorized expert to help you give it a proper fix,by drying them up and also giving the phone a computer flash if warranted.

hope this is helpful,
kindly rate the solution if it's helpful.

take care.

My samsung blast does not have water damage but the screen works intermittently what is the problem?

The problem is in the the flex ribbon connector or in the connector terminals. Disassemble the unit then check the flex ribbon connector for any crack or damage. If no apparent damage is found, clean both the flex terminals and the connector terminals. Resoldering the connector terminals is also suggested.

How to disassemble a pantech c300

I used a micro screw driver set that can be purchased at Home Depot. There are two hidden screws: one on the top piece where the display is and one on the bottom piece where the keyboard is. The hidden screw on the top piece is under a silver rubber circle at center bottom of piece. The hidden screw on the bottom piece is under a silver rubber water drop shape located by the antena. These rubber covers can be removed by wedging them out with a mirco flat screw driver or pin.

Good luck...
