Hi there! You need to use the CD-IU230V cable for the iPod. After connections, you will also need to follow these step:

  • Press "menu".
  • Press "settings"
  • Press " AV Settings"
  • Press "AV1 Input" multiple times until it says iPod.
And for firmware updates, you can download it here:

Welcome to Fixya! You need to check the Wiring Harness on the Rear of the Head Unit. It Really sounds like the Video Cable is Loose.

You are using an audio cable correct? The cable only transfers audio not video. If you need further assistance let me know, also please take a moment to accept and rate my solution accordingly.
Thank you,

Itunes wont let me put a movie on m ipod

Not all iTunes video can be transferred to iPod, please make sure your video is compatible with iPod. If the video resolution or video bitrate beyond iPod limitation, even though they are mp4 video, you can't upload them to iPod. For example, some iTunes purchased movie are High definition movie, the resolution is too high to play on iPod, you can't sync it to your iPod. For more information about iPod compatible video, you can visit apple official website.

I have a Sonic Impact V55 Video player and a new 160GB Ipod. Anyway to get the video to work on it?

Absolutely, I have this myself. My 5th Gen works great, but the 160GB would not show movies, just played music. Apple has an adapter cable set that allows you to hook your Ipod to your TV. $50 buy it! You can charge and watch your stuff on your flat screen. It also unlocks your Ipod TV out setting for your Video 55. Set you IPOD video setting to TV Out: on, select your movie and play. Plug in the IPOD nip to your Ipod then set your Ipod into the Video 55. A bit of a pain but works flawlessly. If you select a different movie you have to do this all over again.

IPod Classic won't play video with AV Component Cable

I have the exact same problem, having previously tried the component cables. I called tech support who stated that my ipod classic must have some sort of hardware malfunction when otherwise fully functional. I can get sound through the RCA cables, but no video. What gives?

IPod Nano 8GB, 4thGen - Video Problems

So it shows up on iTunes? Trying deleting it off of your iPod and then copy it back onto it. If you can't delete it just try to copy it over again.
iTunes might have changed what type of video it is, they might have made it a music video or a tv show and they are moved to different folders

Hi,

Before trying to transfer the video files.

You should cobvert them to the ipod format.

The free softwares for this can be downloaded from

And then using the itunes software transfer the converted video files to the ipod.
