Question about HP PSC 1315 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have an HP psc 1315 all-in-one printer. It prints well but the scanning is a mess so I checked the drivers and they were for an HP1310.
I deleted them.
When I restarted my computer it found new hardware and wanted to download the drivers but it thinks hit has found a 1300 again!
I see on the drivers list that here is are separate drivers (should that be singular?) for the HP 1315 so I can't work out what is going on.
HP has two sets of numbers for the printer.
1315 - This is your model number
1300 - This is your series number
The software, manuals, printer queue, etc. will all show the printer under your series number. This is because there are several models that have minor differences that are not related to the software so they will all share the same software. When you try to download the software for your OS you will use your model number and when it has downloaded during the install it will all show as the series number again. This is normal.
