Question about Amana PTH123B25AJ Heat Pump Air Conditioner

I have an Amana model number pgb 30c09020. It quit working about a month ago and if you pushed on the fan on the combustion blower, it would come on and work for a while. They got the code and replaced the combustion blower. It worked a week or two and then it started going off. When it gets to the temperature, it kicks off and will not come back on. If you flip the breaker off and back on, it will come on. Also, if you leave the door off the flame will stay lit. If you put the door back on it, the flame will go off.

Since everything seems to work when the door is open is an indication that the inlet air filter if blocked. Remove filter and clean it with a vaccum cleaner. IF the filter is clean check that the air inlet itself is not blocked by a peice of furniture that has been repositioned etc

Check the blower motor capicator. It should be mounted close to the motor with 2 wires to it (brown,brown/white).
Turn the blower on the thermostat and spin the squirrel cage by hand and see if it runs after by itself. If it does then definitely the capicator is bad .If it still doesn't run then check to see if there is voltage going to motor.
If thermostat is calling for fan and there is voltage present at the motor terminal then the motor is bad

1 Open the hood, and remove the cover from the fuse block. Locate the fuse numbered "105,"and remove it with a fuse puller.

2 Install a replacement 40-amp fuse in slot "105," and reattach the fuse block cover. If the blower is still malfunctioning, you may need to replace the motor.

3 Open the passenger's side front door, and locate the blower underneath the right side of the dashboard. Remove the three screws securing it to the vehicle.

4 Remove the three screws securing the motor to the fan blower, and install a replacement motor.

5 Reinstall all of the screws, and close the door.

Amana AP148D-RB, Air Conditioner Parts


Not sure if you have fixed yet, but I had the same problem on my AP148D. There are 2 fans, 1 for the condenser (base of unit) and 1 for the evaporator (top of unit). My condenser fan disintigrated. Go to his web site and you will find a parts list for this model, and a distributer list http://service.haieramerica.com/Models.aspx?CID=231

Call this number and they have the parts in stock : 800-313-8495, mine shipped overnight. The parts are :

AC-8000-27 Wheel-blower condenser $21.81

AC-8000-26 Wheel-blower evaporator $21.81

I suspect you will need the first part. Hope this helps. Be careful to note where all the screws come from when dismantling !!!!

u should have a number on the unit to call if not call the place it was purchased and see if they can get u in touch with someone who can help but that should definitely be a warranty part

Furnace blower won't stop running


Usually when the furnace blower motor runs all the time
The limit switch or rollout switch is usually open or bad.
The furnace board is seeing that one of those switches is open, so it brings the blower on to try to get the heat out of the combustion chamber area, so the switch will close. But if the switch is bad and won’t close, the furnace board will keep the blower running continuously.

Blower fan not working


it is probably the resistors are blown or your switch is faulty. The blower motor can be found behind your glovebox. Remove the lower cover and you should see it. If there is power to the motor when your switch is on, it is probably resistors are shot. If they are okay, then the blower motor itself is shot. If there isn't power to the motor, then it's the switch that's faulty.

then you need toi have them check the fan high limit that is mounted in the blower compartment. if it's closed then the blower fan and the conmbustion air fan will run together.

Laser 72 exhaust blower noise


the combustion blower sucks in clean air so it has no place in the exhaust stream. hence no carbon build up. the blades of it look like a vacuum disk on a vacuum cleaner. if the fan was recently rebuilt, make sure of the placement of the bushings. if one is misplaced the fan will rub on its housing and make all kinds of racket.
