Yes you can.

#16 and #26 hold more ink than the #17 and #27.

What size is the ink cartridge for a Lexmark Printer. Both Black and color.Thank YOU

Depending on if it a 16 Black or 17 Black. The 17 is low capacity (12ml) the 16 is High Capacity (18ml) For the colour 26 (high Capacity) approx 6ml per colour or 27 low cap colour is approx 4ml per colour, From a refill point of view use less than this because the sponge looses adsorbancy with every refill.

Printing in all red (lexmark Z715)

In this case what i would request u to do is....... Take out both the catridges from the Printer......... Take 2 Paper Towels one should be wet with Luke warm water and the other one should be dry........... Take the Colour catridge first turn it upside down and u will see a small copper plate on the catridge from where the ink comes out....... Place the wet paper towel using ur thumb on the Copper plate and press it a lit bit for 10 Seconds...... Now remove it and see whether u see any ink on the paper towel.......... U should see some ink on it now place the dry paper towel on the ink catridge in the same way........ Now do the same procedure again.......... Do the same procedure twice on the Black Catridge................. Now take the dry paper towel and turn the direction of the cartridge so that u can see a Copper plate on it with small boxes just clean that copper plate with the Dry Paper Towel.......... Know insert both the catridges inside the Printer the Colour Catridge should go in the right side and the black on the left........
Good Luck

Cartridge error

In this case make sure that the catridges are inserted in the right slot...... The Colour Catridge should go in the right side and the black Catridges should go on the left side.... Make sure the catridge which u are using on this printer is the right one.......... It should not be a refilled cartridge if it is it will not work because Lexmark printers are not designed to work with Refilled catridges it may damage ur Printer......... If everything here is fine just take out both the catridges...... Take a Dry Paper Towel........ Clean the copper contacts on the printer as well as the Catridges....... Unplug the Power Supply from the Printer............ Replug it in and if still it says catridge is missing then may be a problem with the catridges.............. Hope it Works..... Good Luck........

Lexmark 3470, new ink dosn't work.

In this case as u said u used this Catridges in 2 printers then check if u have removed the Transparent Strip from the catridges mand if it is removed and still u face this problem make sure u have inserted the Catridges in the right slot........ U need to insert the colour catridge on the right side and the black catridge should go on the left side.... If no go get the catridges replaced....... Good Luck.......

Refilled color cartridge for lexmark Z845

The only work around to this is to use two catridges(2 color and 2 black and white). The reason is the printer has a mechanism to check if the same catridge is being used again. SO when you have two cartridges when one is finished refill the other and use and vice-versa. This way you will be able to refill and use for ever without any problems..
