Garmin forerunner 305 keeps turning off

I have been using my garmin for quite sometime. For some reason it turns off one or two times during my hour walk. It is driving me crazy. It is not a battery is low problem so I just can't figure it out. I walk almost the same route everyday but I don't think it is turning off necessarily in the same exact place. Please help.

As I attempt to strap my watch on when I go running my watch turns off. Almost every time now. It is very frustrating. Can I fix on my own?

Same thing with me. It will turn off all on its own randomly whether inside or outside, but I can almost guarantee a turn off by choosing the up arrow button after choosing the mode button.

I have the same problem with my garmin turning off while placing it on my wrist. I took the suggestion to remove the cover and bend the contacts up. However, now I cannot get the top to stay on securily. It appears that there is a sealant that holds it on, it doesn't clip on, any suggestions?

The problem is that the connectors inside the garmin are not consistently touching. You need to open the unit and bend the little prongs on the screen side out a bit so that they touch the connectors on the other side of the unit when closed. I did this with my unit and it touch car of this.

1.Open up the unit by carefully inserting a blade and twisting it on the lower left or lower right of the watch along the seam.
2.Bend the connectors (inside the watch) upwards as to increase conductivity between two parts of the watch.
3.Apply silicon along the seam as to glue the two parts back together.

Same issue. The problem was that the cover was loose. Used marine silicon sealant and no problem. What a terrible design

Why does it quit randomly during cycle?

If you cleared the drain pump trap of obstructions, and the pump still runs fine(without rattling from a loose or damaged impeller) then most likely you have fixed the problem. The washer will not spin if it can't drain--and if the water is draining too slowly, it will time out and give an error code for "slow drain". For any items such as bras, underwear, socks, baby socks, stockings, pantyhose, etc, use a netted clothing bag with a zipper to prevent those types of things from getting pulled in-between the basket and tub and then making it to the drain pump trap. These things are notorious for clogging pumps on front load and top load HE washers!!

IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH THE BATTERY

Battery life according to Garmin is about four hours with the rechargeable Lithium battery. During the use, it last anywhere from three hours and fifteen minutes to three and half hours. It does happened that sometimes the batter die and won't let the GPS to function properly.

Unit shut down

I have run into the same problem and it may be related to the WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) feature. Try disabling this feature (under MAIN MENU / Setup). I used this receiver overseas (Asia and Europe) last year for 35 days straight with no problems. During this time WAAS was disabled as none of these satellites are visible overseas. The problem occurred intermittently prior to the overseas trip, and has reoccurred after returning. I was running into the same problem this past weekend and noticed the screen blanking out (with the vertical line) shortly after differential corrections were applied to the GPS signals. I disabled the WAAS and let the receiver run for over an hour. The problem did not return. Hope this helps.

Garmin 205w nuvi cannot unlock maps

Ok so I decided I was going to return this thing tomorrow after hours of frustration, so I decided to get crazy with it and then figured out something that seems to have worked (will probably still exchange it for a Magellan or something other than Garmin though).

It's gonna sound crazy, but I opened up the Garmin drive on my computer (Mac, so not sure how this works on PC), and deleted everything I could see (not hidden files). EVERYTHING.

I then went ran Disk Utility and reformated the "Hard Drive" (on PC I would guess your able to do the same somehow). It still ran after that, but obviously could not find maps (since I just wiped every trace of a map away).

Next step, I ran Garmin Map Manager and transfered map for my state (AZ) (I have the latest map update saved on my computer, so I'm guessing Manager used that). Unplugged from comp, powered up, and voila! I will need to download my voices and vehicles again, but hey at least it's working again.

Garmin gps 60 scx the games

This is a little funny.

The reason the arrow doesn't move within the game is because *you* are not moving. You have to go outside and start walking around to make the arrow pointer move. These are GPS games and they are best played outside in a large area where you are free to walk around in most directions (like a football field). Start the game in the center of the field.

The Maze game is quite fun, and you'll get some good exercise. Move over Wii Fit! ;-)
