This makes NO sense. The X300 is a PCI card solution. Are you suggesting VMWare on bare metal on a PC? Bottom line is the X300 has no driver support beyond WinXP so it will NOT work with Vista nor Win7 32/64.

You need to re-register the software and the devices. Reboot after registration all should work fine. BTW - I'd recommend installing SP3 (will minimize virus attacks due to increase security patches) and contact NC TS for updated X300 software, it's free so they won't charge you for it and your system will be more current.

My recommendation is to uninstall the vSpace software, reboot, run their cleanup utility, and reinstall the latest version. Before reinstalling, make SURE that you have applied XP SP3 and ALL of the current MS updates. Additionally, browse Device Manager and make sure there are NO missing or conflicting drivers. Lastly, if Intel Active Management Technology is installed, disable it. This will be listed in the ports section of Device Manager as either IAMT or SOL/COM3. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT install from the provided CD. As of this posting date, the cleanup utility is available here: nc-eng.com/tools/ncuninstall. The most up to date vSapce for X300 on XP is at: ncomputing.com/download/x300.zip. If you hit this post later and the supplied URLs are not valid call NComputing TS at 888-365-1210. Lastly do NOT forget to register the vSpace software and related XD1 boxes. Pay CLOSE attention to my comments about the Intel Active Management Technology, I think that is your biggest suspect but I'd recommend you follow all the steps I listed.

Problem install X300 Xtenda Multi Box. Windows XP code 10 for X300 Graphic Controller.

Solution: Please change your VGA Card wit Supported Display Card with external VGA, cause if you use for unsupported VGA card the problems that will occur. I suggest using external VGA (not use onboard VGA) like Nvdia Gforce. I always use that produk for all my Client.

For New Driver X300 Graphic you can download there.

I hope it usefull

I wanna the cd of x300 Xtenda multibox because I need the driver and cd for the installation

I would recommend NOT using the CD. Uninstall any current version of vSpace. Reboot. Makesure you have no missing or conflicting device drivers inside of devicemanager. Then run the NComputing cleanup utility located here:www.nc-eng.com/tools/ncuninstall.exe. Download current version for XP(v4.03.104.1) from here: www.ncomputing.com/download/x300. Unpack the.ZIP file and install. Reboot and register.Do NOT, I repeat, do NOTinstall from the provided CD and upgrade. Simply install straightfrom the download file I provided in the link. Lastly make SURE you REGISTER the CARD and the XD1 boxes.

My computer do not accept the cd to install the software for sdr-h40 hdd camcorder, i get a message saying do not support the software

What OS is the computer running? The software isn't guaranteed to work with 64-bit Windows. (Windows 2000 through Vista are tested. Win 7 is an untested OS)

If you have Win7, you can try running the software in the compatibility mode. Right click on the Installer (.exe) and choose Properties. Click on the Compatibility Tab and check the box for Run this program in compatibility mode and use the drop down menu to select Vista or XP. Then right click again on the installer and choose Run as Administrator.

Another option is to run the software in a virtual computer running a supported OS. Win7 Pro and Ultimate support the XP mode which needs two programs downloaded and installed from Microsoft. Otherwise you need a licensed version of the OS to install in the virtualization program. Then install the camera software inside the virtual computer (as if it was the only computer).

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(also note that the software does not run on some dual boot systems and may not run properly on multi-CPU systems. Updated software/drivers do not seem to be available on the Panasonic support site.)

don't install this update. Go to the windows update function and make it ask you before it will update your machine. When this update appears just check don't install and do not remind me again box's and that will stop the update from ever getting on your machine.

Cannot run Fujifilm Software for FinePix with Windows Vista

1) If you right-click on the executable file, can you use the
"Compatibility" TAB to run it as an XP program?

2) Many XP device drivers will fail to install or execute properly
under windows VISTA, and I suspect it is the camera's USB
or Fire-wire (IEEE-1394) based device driver that is causing
the problem, not the main application.

Unfortunately there is NO easy solution for this,
except to get an upgraded software package (for Vista)
from the Camera Manufacturer.

3) There are also two possible work-around(s), but both require
some knowledge and software installation:

DUAL-BOOT
------------------
Install both Windows XP and Windows Vista on your
computer using two separate hard-drive partitions, and
a boot manager.

A partitioning tool like "Norton Partition Magic", formerly
"Power Quest" or "Acronis Tools" can be used to partition
the hard-drive non-distructively (your data is preserved):

a) Resize (shrink) the existing Windows partition.
b) Create a new partition for Windows XP (about 10 Gigs)
c) Install Windows XP-Pro onto the new partition,
d) Add both the XP and Vista partitions to the BOOT.INI
file on the boot drive.

Both windows XP and Vista do have multi-boot capability,
but the Windows XP boot manager may not recognize Vista,
in which case you may have to re-install or re-pair the Vista
installation. The Vista boot manager will recognize WinXP.

Running VISTA is generally a bad idea, because it is obscenely
slow and inefficient compared to XP, and because it is infected
Microsof't draconian and arrogant copy protection schemes,
known as DRM = Digital Rights Management.

Towards this end, Vista also insists that all installed multi-media
devices must be "Recording Industry" compliant and approved,
to make music and movie piracy more difficult. Many media
copying programs and CD-rippers will also refuse to run,
by design.

All this "Added Technology" is stealing your money, your
computer resources, your performance, and your right to
backup your media, at your expense, for the benefit of
the movie industry Mafia.

Use Vista only when you have to, boot to Windows XP for
most of your applications.

VIRTUAL MACHINE
-----------------------------
Both Microsoft and VM-ware (as well as others) make
a software product called a Virtual-PC, which allows you
to emulate multiple operating systems under windows,
including older windows, MAC and Linux.

VMWare is by far the best, the most reliable and the
most flexible, at about $200 US.
