When an extension is entered, ie:34, the phone transfers to wrong extension, ie: 21. How do I fix this?

Kathy, do all the phones on this system do the same thing??.. when everyone dials "34"..do they all get "21"...??...if this is true.. simply "reassign" the extensions... example= If Betty Boop is/used to be "21".. just tell her she is now "34".. and so on..
IF this is NOT true, time to call IT or the "Phone Co," provider...

Would you like to re-assign one of the function buttons on your One for All URC-3021 Universal Remote to control a different device?

If you would like to program the CBL/SAT button to control a DVD player, here are the steps:

  1. On the remote, press and hold SET until the LED blinks twice, then release SET.
  2. Enter 9 9 2. The LED will blink twice.
  3. Press DVD/VCR once.
  4. Press CBL/SAT once. The LED will blink twice. The CBL/SAT key is now ready to be set up to control your DVD player.

I hope that helps.

Shortcuts have locked up on my pc

Conflicting Extensions

Add-ons, also called plug-ins or extensions, are mini-applications that attach themselves to independent software and add extra capabilities to the program.

Extensions can change a browser's interface, alter the behavior of existing operations, add new functions or install in-browser support for programs like Shockwave Flash or Adobe Reader.

Because these extensions make changes to the overall operation of a browser, they can also affect the shortcut keys.

Most browsers offer an option to run the application with add-ons disabled; if the shortcut keys work when extensions are turned off, one of the add-ons is at fault.

Key Reassignments

Programs like MapKeyboard, SharpKeys and KeyTweak can reassign the functions of each key on the laptop keyboard.

If the computer is running a non standard keyboard layout, certain keys might not behave or respond normally.

For example, if the "Ctrl" key has been disabled or is set to work like "Shift," shortcut keys won't work as expected because the keyboard is no longer using its default mapping.

If the keyboard layout has been changed in the Dell laptop, the registry will contain a Scancode Map entry in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout or the language bar will show a keyboard language different from the default ("English (United States)," or "EN," for Dell laptops purchased in the U.S.).

Virus Infection

Malicious software can affect the function of peripheral components like the keyboard and mouse.

If the keyboard is exhibiting strange behavior for example, if certain keys do not respond or if keys output unexpected letters a virus is most likely the cause.

Running an anti malware software from within Safe Mode accessed by pressing "F8" on the Dell logo screen should remove any viruses interfering with keyboard response.

Browser Software

Upgrading or downgrading a browser on the PC can affect the Internet shortcut keys associated with that program, especially if the version removes a function that was once associated with a particular keyboard combination.

Alternatively, if you've switched to another browser, you might find that certain shortcuts that worked in the previous browser don't work in the new one.

For example, while "Shift-F10" opens a context menu in Internet Explorer, the same keyboard combination does nothing in Mozilla Firefox.

Hope this helps.

CO button light was stuck so to clear it i pressed Prog, then CO button, then 2 (clear) and then enter. Doing this cleared the light but it also cleared the extension associated with it. I have re-added...

What was 2? Extensions are put in with a 1. The 2 is used for internal or speed dial calls (as in 29 plus a number gets you speed dial).

If you assign a digital station that is not in service to a button, you will get a busy light.

I all ready have office 2007 on my pc but i have brought a laptop can i transfer the product as i need to free up office space and want to get rid of desktop

Hello,

This is from the Licensing information. (Like anyone reads them, right?) :^)

15. REASSIGN TO ANOTHER DEVICE. You may reassign the license to a different device any number of times, but not more than one time every 90 days. If you reassign, that other device becomes the "licensed device." If you retire the licensed device due to hardware failure, you may reassign the license sooner.

If you had the Student/Teacher version, you can install it on 3 separate computers at the same time.

So the short answer is, YES.

For reference, here is the Office Support site that may be of future help.

Thanks for using Fixya.

I want to swap out a 9640 with sticky keys for a new 9640. How do I reassign the same extension to the new phone?

When the new extension boots up, it will ask for the extension number and password. Simple as that.

Error 306

Error 306 is the 4 wire measurement error that happens when you try to reassign a channel needed for a 4 wire measurement to something else. Two measurement channels are required to make a 4-wire Ohms measurement, one for source and another for sense. The pairs are preconfigured by the 34970A. If channel x01 is declared to be a 4-wire measurement channel, the 34970A will assign channel x11 in the same 34901A module to be the sense channel for that measurement. In the 34902A module, channel x01 is paired with x09, where x is the slot identifier number. Error 306 only occurs as a result of user generated programming. Benchlink Datalogger and front panel operation block the user from reassigning a 4-wire configured sense channel.
