Problem for HP Wireless Optical Mouse
Hp wireless mouse model #m971au pointer stopped working
I bought the mouse 3.5 months ago and it's too late to return it.
Changed the batteries, restarted my pc,etc. It still won't work.
If I have to purcharse a new one, what would be a better product?

Make sure your batteries are good and then,

Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button
on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to
the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button
and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you
change batteries or glitch. Hope this helps you. Bud
