Philips DPTV 310, 60PP935217 We got this tv. As it was brought, they took out the front glass to transport. Question is. There are 2 glasses. Wich glass, in wich order, and which side has to be Built

The pair taped together usually are the inner and it is possible to put in backwards----should have marked this with masking tape before removal which is rarely needed to transport this set---cover with heavy quilt and face forward in a pickup etc so wind does not **** screens out.

Disassemble for moving

Cabinet is screwed and glued construction---about all that can be removed for safe transport is entire front screen unit and the Mirror inside the set.

If decide to move in open pickup make sure screen faces front of truck and is covered---if towards the rear the air flow can pull outer screen right out.

Disassemble Toshiba 65H80 tv

No, cabinet is glued and screwed---entire front screen can be removed and the mirror inside also(be very careful with that) as they are the two things that get damaged most when transporting a set.

Moving a long ways or just across town?

How do you remove the screen

Televisions covered: typical Projection Televisions.

Projection TV's usually have a bezel surrounding the screen that is held on by a (firm) friction-fit to a rubber gasket.
Once the bezel is (carefully) removed, the screen itself is released.

How to remove the bezel: carefully pull it away from the cabinet of the TV (toward the front), by hand - its somewhat/slightly flexible. If a tool is used, one risks damaging the cabinet finish, or the bezel itself.

If I need to extract a screen, I'll usually release the upper 1/2 of the bezel from around the screen (removing the top and half of each side), then lift the screen panel itself up and out of the TV without removing the entire bezel - this way, I save the (unnecessary) work of removing the entire bezel, and also avoid the possibility of the screen panel falling out of the cabinet onto the floor in front of the set (as the last part of the bezel comes off the cabinet).

Its often tough to get this bezel off the first time, so when I take one off, I'll install a light coating of grease on the rubber gasket, since once it comes off the first time, it will inevitably need to come off again a few more times before the TV is fixed. And if the bezel is flexed too violently, it will break.
Cheap automotive bearing grease works fine.

We bought an RCA 46 in hdtv. The tv does not seem to be level. One side is about 1 CM lower than the other side. Doesnt sound like a big difference but we can stop noticing it. I looked at the stand...

Go into menu and to video settings and look for the tilt function. If not there you must go into to the service menu with the original remote. In order to give you proper instructions for service menu, I must have the proper model number as fixya sometimes has the wrong one.

Samsung HCN653W Transport

the bottom stand seperates from the top screen portion. On the side under the top potion you will see 4 black phillips head screws on each side. Remove those. Also there is a small access panel on the right side ( if your facing the tv ). There are 2 screws there, remove them , and look inside , you will see 3 plugs. Unplug them. Once you have done all this, have someone help you and lift the top portion off.
