Question about Acer Aspire 3000 Notebook
Hi there.. i have an Acer Aspire ZL5 that wont power up. I plugged the thing in one day and it fried the port!? it did some kind of spark thing..
not sure what needs to happen next.
can this be fixed? if so what do you thing the issue is.. other than i fried my laptop.. hehe..
should i just save up and get a new one?
from what i understand the motherboard is the issue.. the part is cheap but there is something that happens with the replacement and having to solder all 4 parts at once? im a woman.. i know nothing of this jargin.. maybe some one is trying to take me for a ride..
any info or assistance you can provide would be extremly helpful!
If the unit sparked, then the motherboard is definitely bad. Also it could have taken out the memory. Then there might be residual effects after repair the unit. I usually advise my clients to purchase a new laptop, rather then pouring money into an older unit. Laptop prices have come down, here are some examples:
