A bit vague what type of pages ?
You might have to kill the tracking cookies

Websites use small files called "cookies" to track their visitors' use of the site (e.g., when they visit, whether they logged in or not and what pages they visited). Unfortunately, some unscrupulous website owners use cookies to track visitors' entire Internet usage, including visits to secure websites with private information. If you have been on websites that you don't trust, you should kill your cookies to avoid potential security problems.
Open Internet Explorer, click on the "Tools" menu, then select "Internet Options." Click on the "Delete" button in the "Browsing history" section of the dialog box. Select the "Cookies" check box, then click on the "Delete" button to clear your cookies. b> Firefox b> Open Firefox, click to open the "Tools" menu on the menu bar, then choose "Clear Recent History." Select "Everything" from the "Time range to clear" drop-down menu, then click to check the check box next to "Cookies." Click on the "Clear Now" button. Hope this helps/

Is there a way to get rid of "kill pages-wait?"

Hi Marcy ,
This "kill page or wait for sometime" is an notification feature of all browsers common mainly Google Chrome. it prompts when --
  • Slow internet connection and you have opened many tabs simultaneously then your browser will stop working and give an error message like "kill page or wait for sometime".
  • Our CPU and RAM usage increases and our browser is stopped for some time and it gives the same message
You can prevent this .[ There is no option to disable this message so we can do things to let this happens again ok ]

  1. Try running chrome in "safe mode" if you have a lot of silent programs running in the background. [Enable safe mode by CTRL+SHIFT+N for chrome]
  2. clear the cache and cookies in your browser
this will help you to minimize no. of occurrence for this annoying message

if still any issue feel free to contact me thanks

I have a paper to submit but its stuck on kill pages or wait, I cant kill the pages

Once the kill pages pop-up comes you are a bit stuck.
this means the underlying mechanism for running the page has failed and it is waiting to see if the page can resume what it was doing.
If you are waiting at this screen for more than a few minutes you have no choice but to close it out.

The nice part is if you are in Google Documents it saves your work every few second and so should be up to date with your recent changes.

regards,
Mike

Message That Keeps poping up google is not responding. it reads "kill pages" or wait

It is crash message that appears in Google Chrome. It is more similar to End now or Cancel message that appears in Windows XP when you try to close a not responding process. You can kill pages which will close the chrome. Or you can wait for the browser to regain its old pages and start working normally. Generally,i choose Kill Pages and restart the browser. Though there are chances you might lose old webpages you had kept opened.

Cheers!!!
