Question about LG WM-2277HW Front Load Washer

LG wm1814cw washer is leaking from the front

There is a good amount of water coming from underneath the front panel (not the door). I ran a test cycle on rinse and spin and it didn't do it. Then when I put laundry in and ran a full normal cycle I had almost a full drip pan. Any ideas?

I have a very similar problem, just not quite as bad. I have the LG WM2688HNM model and I just noticed that I'm getting a slight drip from the underside of the bottom front edge of the machine ... typically near the corners. There's a white plastic piece along under he edge where it looks like the drip is coming from.

I watched a cycle and it seems to happen during the rinse cycle. I didn't notice it during the first 5 or so loads, but once I started usigng the pedestal drawer, I noticed it. The water dips into the pedestal. I only get about a tablespoon of water leak out during the cycle, but I'm wondering if it is accumulating inside the machine in places where it shouldn't

Did you check the door bellow. I know you said it's not the door but if you really open that rubber pull it back and check it from top to bottom. let me know I'll keep thinking.

The washer seems to leak a small amount of water, less than a cup after each wash. It looks like it is coming from the back underneath. Checked the filter and such.

You may have an oversudsing condition which will cause it to leak like this. It can cause permanent damage over time.

Try to use one eyedropper full of HE detergent, either the liquid stuff or powdered dissolved in hot water. Use vinegar for fabric softener it will rinse the load clean. Run it on a hot cycle first with a cup of vinegar to flush the detergent residue from the drum, no laundry, and see if the water runs clear and/or if it leaks, if the problem occurs you may be facing a gasket breach. More often than not it's due to oversudsing. They tell you NOT to use regular detergent and that is why.

LG WM1814CW Front Load Washer rubber seal on front door collects water underneath and now has black mold, and a strong odor, like cigarette smoke.

Use some detergent plus baking soda and mix it in with the water--rub it around (with an old toothbrush) to loosen the mold. Let sit for a while, then wipe water, mold, and cleaner away. Finally, rinse with clean water and wipe dry. Leave the door ajar to air out after each wash. It will help to remove the standing water each time. Don't poke a hole in the seal to drain the water out, because water will then run out of the bottom of the washer.

Door locked and will not open. i ran an empty cycle to see if that would work and it doesn't.....thanks! Margit

IF water is left in machine then door wont unlock, check pump, run drain cycle. If pump runs but doesnt remove water, then check filter at bottom (small door on bottom front) water will come out when this is done. If washer is completely empty of water and door locked then you may access lock release tab from bottom or reaching down from top to lock asm. Then check lock

Have a LG Tromm wm2688hnm and is leaking water? Does anyone know what causes this and how do you fix it?

If leaking from the bottom it could be a number of things and you would have to remove the back panel to start. Then do the rinse and spin and using a flashlight try to locate the leak. Have towels handy. For us, in our 5 yr old LG - the bellow (the black large tube connected to underneath the tub) had holes in it. A $10.00 part online.
