Would you mind giving me a little more details, I may be able to help. For example, you are opening yahoo mail with your webbrowser.

Go to Help about and give me the version of internet explorer, and what mail service you are trying to access.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

If you are experiencing issues with Internet Explorer 7 at a site, you can open a
window that reports its' identity as Internet Explorer 6:

1. Download the Microsoft User Agent String Utility (uasutility-v2-x86.msi) file.
<http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=70356>
2. Double-click the uasutility-v2-x86.msi file to install it.

When you encounter issues with Internet Explorer 7 at a Web site, open the User
Agent String Utility by clicking on the shortcut on the desktop or in the start
menu. You can use the browser window that this tool opens without affecting other
browser windows.

When you run the User Agent String Utility, you are presented with the dialog found
in the screenshot attached to this SOX article. Open the SOX in Clarify to view
the attachment.

Yesterday i could open attachments on emails i sent..today cannot. have vista as OS slso when forwarding emails with attachments same problem

You can possibly fix this in internet explorer.
Go to tools, internet options, programs, check as posted above for the email client being microsoft word.
It may also say: HTML Editor, just click the drop down upside down triangle and change that to microsoft word depending on the internet explorer version.
Apply and ok.
Restart internet explorer.
Have also seen this not work and you would have to edit the registry. Let me know if you need further assistance in resolving this issue.

Goto windows update, and make sure you have the latest version of Microsoft .net framework.. (also any other service packs for ie7 that you don't have, along with security updates)

Most of those sites use the .net platform, and that may cause issues if it is not up to date.

Other then that, you might try to re-install IE7, or, revert back to Ie6
