Question about Uniden SC200 Handheld Scanner
Trying to load Winscan Sport II on a new computer that is Windows Vista. Get a popup that says it can't register the file C:\windows\system32\fm20.dll. When the installation finishes and i try to start it, I get another popuop that says run time error'7' out of memory.
Worked fine on XP. Is this a vista issue??
Yes, it is. Winscan Sport II was only designed for Windows 95/98/NT 4.0/Windows ME only. I'm not sure why it worked for you on XP. Unfortunately Pozilla Software, the company who made Winscan Sport II, appears to no longer be in business.
The only software I know of that is still in production for the SC200 is by Butel. Their website is www.butel.nl. The software is called ARC200. Their site does not specifically mention compatability with Vista or Windows 7, but they do have a demo version that you can try for free.
