I am having the same problem for the past few days. The alarm was ok for 3+ years, then it's giving problems. Is it a battery issue?

I had my home security system installed yesterday at approximately 5:00 pm. It has been saying "module ok" every 5 seconds since. The tech who installed it said it would continue for 18-24 hours until the internal battery was fully charged. It has been 29 hours now, and it is still going.

Reason: The reason why the sys is saying module ok is becasue of the panel battery. This is a common problem with simon 3 and thats why i would not suggest this sys to anyone. The module is the cell unit thats send the signal to the central station wirelessly and it gets it power from the batteries.
Fixes. The only way to fix this issue is by replacing the panel batteries.

Your alarm went off. This is common if it was your crank or cam it would start shut off but give you more than five seconds, Try this roll down a window disconnect the battery and put both terminal together, this will try the BCM(body control module) hod terminal together for 30 seconds reattach the battery put the key in the ignition for 10 seconds in the ACC position then start it. see if that works

If the power was out for 5 hours and the control panel still shows 'low battery', it's probably time to replace the battery for the control panel. However, this shouldn't keep the alarm panel from arming up. I would first try to re-start the control panel by removing the power and battery connection for a few seconds and plugging it back in. After that, it would be a good idea to re-enroll all of your attached sensors, etc. by entering into programming mode and exiting. Press * 8 + {go code} then just press exit. The default 'go' code is 9713. After about 15 seconds, the panel will have auto-enrolled each attached device. Try arming and disarming the panel. Be careful of setting off the alarm, as your monitoring station may dispatch police, etc. in the event of alarm. This is why having a certified alarm installer do this work is a good idea, as they can put your account with the monitoring station on 'test' so alarm signals are recorded for testing purposes but are not acted upon.

if the starter keeps going while the car is running for those few seconds, the issue is with the tach signal wire that runs from the remote start module to a coil signal wire under the hood. check it and make sure the connections are good and the wire isnt broken.

I cant disarm my alarm

Get inside the car, turn the key to the on position, the alarm is going to sound so do not panic when the alarm sounds press the valet button one time and the alarm should stop. To place the alarm in valet mode cycle the key with the door open on then off then press the valet button one time and the alarm should go into valet mode meaning the alarm light will be on steady.
