Re: no files

I think your problem is that you have songs that are not MP3 or WMA format on the RCA Lyra S1010. They are probably mpeg4 (like iTunes. I know because I had done the same thing!) Make sure that you check the format before you put them on the device!

I have that same problem its just started happenin i have a 120 gb classic ipod..ive never had any troubles before i can access it thru the drive mode but itunes wont allow does the database get...

It is best to remove off all the files from your IPOD and then reset the player. Now using the media convertor for Apple ipods- itunes- you can convert and copy all the safe files to the player . Once done the player must work without hanging and if not there is fault within the memory or processor.
Download itunes from the Apple website.

My Iomega Screen Play Plus wont play any of my High Quality AVI files. I know this is down to the codec. Can I install a 3rd party player or how do I fix this?

It appears that the firmware update (click here) only fixes minor bugs some of which include DivX issues but does not seem to include more codecs. Here are a list of supported codecs (click here). The only other option seems to be the Transcode Server option (click here); but am not sure if this works for your exact model. So for all intents and purposes unless Iomega sends out a firmware update, with an extend codec pack, you would have to try the Transcode Server option or unfortunately convert your files to a supported format (no joy). Hope this was helpful.

Hello,I have philips gogear vibe mp4 , model sa2vbe04r_02 and i cant watch video clips on it. I have tried many converters for mp4 format over and over but without slight success, please tell me which...

This is the FAQ I found on the support website. I think it is always safe to use the Philips songbird to do the converting and transferring.

"Please always use Philips Songbird to transfer your videos (.mp4) file to avoid playback issue.

I Lost my the coby media Manager for the MP620 how do i get it back because on the site there no MP620

I found a direct link from Coby wesite so you just have to click on the link below to start the download. Its 40MB. Its for Windows.

Coby Media Manager

(Note: This same Media Manager is used with ALL of their mp3/mp4 series so don't worry if your model is not listed.)

If you wish to download for Mac, click here to visit the Coby support website. The downloads are stated as a 'fix' but actually they are full programs.

If you have trouble during installation refer to the guide in the manual or let me know by posting here.

Having trouble viewing my media files on laptop

Download the software from Sandisk's website for your model and try it. Make sure the laptop has a USB 2.0 port. Install the software BEFORE plugging the player into the laptop, or else Windows native drivers will trump the manufacturer's drivers. Many times a laptop's power distribution system does not give it enough juice to run an mp3 player, but many newer laptops are an exception.

My mp3 player will not turn on.

I had the exact same problem. Upgrading the firmware solved the problem, but it took some effort.
The firmware update is found on RCA's website here under downloads. You must first hook up the player. Download the updater to a file folder on your computer. Run the software....and I had to use one of the troubleshooting tips that is available in the firmware upgrade to even get my machine to recognize the mp3 player. That trick was to unhook the player. Push and hold down the play button as you reconnect the player into the computer...and remain holding the play button down until the player is recognized. All of these steps are in the firmware upgrade program. It's crazy to me that you have to start the program to upgrade the firmware before they give you any idea on how to make it work (especially if your mp3 player seems dead).
Anyway. I lost all my saved media, but the player is working again.

My mp3sa110/02 firmware is not recodnised

danny - make sure you only download the zip file from Philips website for your exact model # - the /02 at the end means it is not a United States model - go to Philips website and change your country first in order to gain access to the correct firmware file that you need

guest - the reason the page cannot be displayed is because the Musicmatch service that this player is tied to was cancelled in Oct. 2007

When switch on comes up with upgrade RSC files

I would go ahead and do the firmware upgrade from Samsung's website - make sure you enter in your EXACT model # - including the part after the YP-T10. The RSC (resource) files need updating, and I can't think of a better way to do that than to upgrade the firmware. There is a small possibility that you have files on there with expired DRM licenses, but I would try firmware upgrade first.

File system corrupt

I don't know exactly which model of the Thomson Lyra you have, but you can visit the Support page on their website, find your particular player model, and download software updates that might help solve this problem.

Trouble seeing nonmusic files.

Not sure if this will help, but you could try a couple things:
1. Search for it. There should be a search option somewhere in the explorer window or on the start menu. If you know the name of the .rar file, you can search the mp3 player for it.
2. Go to your Control Panel -> Folder Options. Under the tab "view" make sure "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.

Anyway, that's what I would try first.
