I guess my usb decided to bite the dust. It no longer is recognized on my laptop or desktop so I know for sure it is the usb plug-in. Mouse still is fine so my question is... Can I just get a new usb plug-in or do i have to get a whole new set?-

  • jbreakiron Jan 16, 2009

when I plug in the usb device for the wireless mouse it will say "does not recognize usb device" and to make sure it wasn't just my desktop because thats generally what I use it with, I plugged it in to my laptop and it did the same thing...does not recognize usb device...so I know the problem lies in my usb connector. I had pulled it out to plug in my camera's usb device because it has to go in the same usb location just like I have always done but this last time it seems to have been a problem beyond resetting the mouse and whatever else I could think of.

Not much info to go on but this might help.
Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch. Hope this helps you. Bud

How Can I connect my wireless Logitech mouse to my laptop?

You should search for small wireless USB dongle (receiver) and insert it into USB port of your laptop. You bought The dongle with mouse. Sometimes it is placed inside mouse on bottom side. See picture.

A mouse driver is usually installed automatically in a while after the dongle is connected to PC.

Have a logitech wireless mouse and keyboard from a friend. Need step by step instuctions for installation. can you help?

You need the wireless receiver to go with the mouse & keyboard. Plug the receiver into a USB port and windows XP (or Vista or Win7) should automatically install the drivers for it.If this does not happen then there may be specific drivers on the logitech web site.
Once the drivers are installed, the mouse and keyboard should work (assuming batteries have been installed in them!)

I bought a logitech keyboard and mouse how do i connect to my computer and turn it on

It looks like a wireless keyboard and mouse. My Logitech keyboard and mouse have a USB 2.0 receiver, which plugs into any USB 2.0 port. Some have small USB receivers that look like memory sticks. It might be mounted on the bottom of the keyboard or the mouse. My receiver is a small box with a wire that runs to the back of the computer and plugs into the USB port. The receiver has a connect button to send a signal to the mouse and keyboard. Once they are installed you can use the button to make the mouse and keyboard recognized, by the OS.
