Question about Belkin OmniView E Series 2-port KVM Switch
I have this issue with the Belkin KVM E-Series. When I switch between PC's the mouse seems to be in a mode where the left button is pressed (or auto clicked). When one moves the mouse all kinds of clicks and drags are issued to the OS, messing up the desktop and sometimes closing windows.
This effect goes way after about a second on a Windows machine, but takes longer (3-5 seconds) on a Linux box. If I just sit and wait it persists. I need to move a mouse a little bit and typically click the right button to make it go away faster.
Why does this happen? Is there any fix for this behavior?
Sadly, this is a known issue with this series of KVM switches (3 out of 5 on Amazon) and I have not seen or heard of any fix. I have heard of older mice operating correctly but even that seems to be hit-or-miss.
