Question about Logitech V270 Cordless Optical Notebook Mouse

2 Answers

Freezing up Hi there, my Logitech V270 Bluetooth mouse freezes up frequently. When it does, is does not move, but sometimes still recognizes mouse button clicks (but not always). And when it comes back, it does seem to retrace the erratic movements that I tried to get it moving. Often I can only revive it if I do shut of the Bluetooth on the Laptop and reinitialize it. It does not react to shutting off the mouse and/or pushing the Reset button on its under belly. Batteries are fresh! My Hardware: Gateway Laptop, with Intel Core Duo T7200 and Windows XP (all patched). Any ideas what could cause this? Is it the Laptop, Windows XP, the WipCOMM Bluetooth software, or the mouse? Thanks, K

Re: Freezing up

Just a note on PCguy's "solution". This is a very common problem with the V270 and is NOT fixed by replacing the bluetooth unit. A simple google search will show this to be the case.

Re: Freezing up

Sounds like an issue with the bluetooth reciever. I would replace the unit.

Any solution for apple wireless mouse not able to scroll-happens frequently-I do all the usual things, ie: cleaning scroll ball with a toothbrush, alcohol, etc. Works for a while, sometimes an hour, day,...

if you're having issues with a "mighty mouse" let me tell you that no matter how well you clean it, the problem will continue. If you can't get a free replacement from Apple, the best experience for us at my office has been to move to Logitech bluetooth mice. Logitech V270 Cordless Optical Bluetooth Mouse works great and you have all the functions you need like scrolling, right and left click, etc.

Mouse does not work

Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Mouse Receiver from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the Mouse Receiver to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

Bluetooth mouse not working

you can turn off and on the Bluetooth and try it out. If not you might want to check your battery status.
Another option could be to re-pair it to the BT.

Logitec V270 bluetooth mouse freezes

I found no solution but plenty of similar complaints on the V270 on other than just Vista machines. I will suggest finding another model mouse and check it for Vista compatibility before buying.
I am using a Logitech M-RBB_DEL4 mouse made for Dell, it's bluetooth and works flawlessly on my XP machine along with the keyboard it came with. I will try the one I just ordered on my Vista machine when the BT Keyboard and Mouse arrive.
