Re: my vrvd630 vr-3 cd won't play
HI, in most cases, this will be a strong indicator of a failed optics assembly. you can confirm by inserting a cleaning disk. if the cleaning process dose not produce positive results, this will confirm optics failure, and the assembly must be replaced in order to restore proper functions.

This is a common error with these units when they get dusty from putting dirty disks inside the drive. Just go to your local staples and or walmart and get a 5 dollar disk player cleaning kit. It looks like a plain cd but has small fibers that come out of the bottom of the disc that clean the laser as it spins and tries to read it.
I just had this problem today and when I attempted to eject the CD it would give me an error message that stated (ERR 32). Apparently this means that there is something blocking the movement of the screen, a little manipulation should help the issue. Another variable could be the Eject lock feature, essentially a "child lock" for your disc. When this lock is activated it prevents the CD in the deck to be ejected. You can change this by holding down the blue source button and the eject button simultaneously for about 2 or 3 seconds. A message should appear saying "No Eject" and one that repeatedly flashes "Eject on" These two things seemed to help me alot when I had this issue. If those things don't work I would recommend calling JVC, much to my suprise they were actually really helpful. Their number is 1-800-252-5722.
connect the breaking wire(brown) for model VRVD630 to a ground (i just connect it with the black) meaning ground wire black and breaking wire brown will run too the same ground wire which will show up your dvd screen and it wont b blank
The Clarion manual lists 3 error messages.
Error 2-A disk is caught inside the CD deck and is not ejected.
Error 3-A disk cannot be played due to scratches, etc.
Error 6-A disc is loaded upside-down and cannot be played.
