Out of no where my computer just stops (power stays on) and the monitor goes white..sometimes with blue/black/red VERTICAL lines on it. If I am watching a video that stops as well.
I don't know if this is a virus or what. It's not the monitor because it happens to all monitors attached to computer.
It is happening 1-4 times per day and is killing me and ruining my work due losing it as the computer stops. I have to hard reboot every time
I have Windows XP,
HP Pavillion a1130n desktop with
AMD 64 Athalon..

- Thanks...I neglected to check HP's website and sure enough this was happening to other users with this computer model #. Their fix was to download a new BIOS. I did that and we'll see if it happens....other users claim it fixed this issue for them.
