We bought my aunt a logitech quickcam for christmas. She can see our videos and hear us. She also says that she can see her own video on her computer screen. However, no one she Skypes can see her videos on our computers, and we can't hear her, either. We have tried from three different households in 2 different states. What needs to be changed on her computer so we can all see her video and hear what she is saying?

Launch the Logitech QuickCam or Webcam software on your computer. Verify that you see yourself Logitech Webcam software window. Close the software window. Sign in to Skype. Click the "Tools" menu and select "Options." Click "Video Settings," check the "Enable Skype Video" and "Start my video automatically when I am in a call" boxes. Select your Logitech QuickCam from the drop-down list. Your webcam should display video in the window. Click "Audio Settings" if your QuickCam has a built-in microphone and select it from the microphone drop-down list. Check the "Let Skype adjust my audio settings" box in "Audio Settings" so Skype recognizes your microphone. Click "Save" to save the options for your audio and video settings. Skype will close the options menu.
SKYPE VIDEO PROBLEM To test if the Logitech QuickCam is functioning, check the USB cable; make sure it is connected properly. Then click on Start - All Program - Logitech - Logitech QuickCam and see if you can get the camera to capture your image/video. If this works then the fault is with the Skype configuration. Sometimes the WEBcam settings drop off and the WEBcam need to be selected again. Open Skype - Tools - Options - Video Settings and select the Logitech QuickCam Also check the Audio Settings for the Microphone THEN click on Save. Avoid connecting the WEBcam to an USB hub. SKYPE MICROPHONE PROBLEM If the person cannot hear you then, either your microphone driver not installed or not working OR the microphone is not configured in Skype. To test your microphone then click on Start - All Programs - Accessories - Entertainment - Sound recorder. Then record your voice and then play it back. If this is OK then the microphone need to be configured in Skype. To configure the microphone - Open Skype - Tools - Options - Audio Settings for the Microphone THEN click on Save.
hello, try to close all the quickcam software before you open skype. I think its a program collision. also check msconfig that no logitech program starts.
click->start->run->write msconfig and click startup tab. uncheck all logitech. get back if it doe sent work
if you have the correct driver ...and it works on other instant massaging programs..like yahoo messenger or so...it means that the problem is from settings and so ...and its nothing wrong with th ecamera ...so ..try to reinstall skype ...

Make sure both the Microphone and Speaker's are correct Then "make a free test call" .Wait till the voice tells you to record. Then when finished talking waite for the test voice and the test persons voice to insue you audio transmition is work. Then go back to options and test your video.setting. Both try using windows live and set up audio and video in the settings as you did with Skpe, as it's a similair programme and supports any camera.
If that works better then Skype has a problem with your camera makes.
