Sorry, but the manual is right. Let's see...

Don''t use the general options (from the main screen), but go to your calendar first.
Then click the wheel and you'll find "Options" a little bit further down.
When you choose this, it will lead you to the calendar options, where you can set the "Keep Appointments" field to 15, 30, 60, 90 days and forever.
Choose to your liking.
Don't forget to save your choice.

If this didn't work, please come back and I am happy to look firther into it.

Good "luck"!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Synchronizing Outlook to my T5 but not my T5 to Outlook (without erasing any data on either device)

A possible workaround: I agree that the current synchronising behaviour is not very helpful - especially as it is not very clearly documented - I nearly lost all of my personal calendar data completely! What I have done for now (and this may not be acceptable to you) is to allow Outlook Calendar to synchronise fully with my TE, but then mark all my personal appointments etc. as 'Private' (tick box in lower right hand corner of details). Tedious, I know, but hopefully will get easier as I go along... It is even possible to set up a 'filter' in Outlook so that the personal data is not displayed [Customise View: Filter / Advanced / Field: Sensitivity = Normal] All your personal calendar data on the Tungsten will now be marked as private as well, so if you want to hide any 'really' private records on there, you'll have to set Security to lock the handheld on power-off until you enter a password. Like you, I look forward to Palm resolving this issue by installing 1-way options on their conduits!

Unresolved Items when synching

Try the following.... Open Active sync on your PC. Double Click on Calendar. Change the settings such that it syncs only 0 past and 0 future appointments. SYNC (this will clear all calendar items on the IPAQ) Now go back in to those Calendar settings, and set it back to the default which is 2 past weeks and All Future appointments. SYNC (this will now reload all appointments into your Ipaq)

Corrupt Date Book Fixed

Updated Instructions Simple fix for a corrupted Date Book sync error (at least it worked for me on my Treo 650). 1). Turn off 'Show Calendar Event' in the Phones 'Options - General Preferences' menu. 2). Turn off phone. 3). Set the Date/Time to the maximum limits (12/31/31) in Preferences. 4). Open the Calendar and view the maximum day 12/31/31. 5). Select 'Purge - (Delete events older then 1 week)' in the Calendars Options menu. 6). Reset the Date/Time to the current day in Preferences. 7). Hotsync (Desktop Calendar overwrites handheld). 8). Hotsync again to make sure you don’t get the error (Synchronize the files). That’s it. =============================== Outlook Calendar The attempt to open the database failed. Date Book application database is not found. Please invoke the Date Book application on the handheld once and re-synchronize. Casio pocket pc calendar doesn't show appointments that were syncronized from outlook: If I sync with outlook, the appointments I add on the Casio E-125 show in outlook, but the ones I add in outlook...

The Menu: VIEW - Categories option at the bottom, has all categories checked off. However, the logic dictates that it will only show the categories checked off, and if any appointment (appointments being made in outlook are not categorized) with no category would not show in the pocket pc. The logic written into the software, is, if no categories are checked off, then it will show ALL appointments. It would be nice if there was an option in the category view menu to SHOW ALL, but there isn't. You just have to uncheck all the categories.
