I have no sound coming from my computer

I have bought speakers for my packard Bell Imedia X2414. I have followed all instructions but still have no sound. Should I have done something to configure ? I understand my computer has sound built in but I am not sure if it needs a sound card ?

Hello,

first lets make sure your speakers are in the right plug on the back of that sound card. Sounds like you have the speakers in a plug that supports 5.1 audio after witch your only hearing that distinct channel.

Check the back there should be 3 or 4 plug ins 3.5 mm in size. They should be labeled. Make sure your plugged in the correct port on the back of the sound card itself.

please update me with any details if your problem was fixed with this solutions or not.

Sound from speakers but not from headphones

hmmm.... did you try plugging to where the speakers go??? is this a Tower or Lap Top?? if it's the Lap Top, you might have to do the following... Right click My Computer, go to Properties, Device Manager, and look for the sound part of it... uninstall the hardware, and then reinstall it again... watch for the pop up messages to confirm the re-install and a message that it's ready for use... you might have to reboot if it asks you to do so.... Good Luck

PACKARD BELL AND SAMSUNG TV

Many Packard-Bell systems use a Crystal sound card.
If you can read the number from the sound card (usually CSXXXX), you can pick the exact driver from this site:
