Question about YouTube Videos

1 Answer

When I go on Youtube at night to look at my favorites the videos are choppy and spin then go back to the video then spin so I can not watch them without interruption. I updated my Adobe Flashplayer last night to 10 and it still does this. Then when I checked this a.m. (early) the videos played fine. It has happened every night this week though that videos I try to watch are interrupted because of (??) buffering (??) (choppy). I get videos fine on cox and cnn. Is this a problem with my computer or is it a problem with the Youtube server and to many people being on at night or during certain times. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I get this problem from time to time, I think it is a youtube issue with overloading the server, I wouldn't worry too much. You are not alone.....lol

Use tube in my iphon

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
Turn on the iPhone's Wi-Fi by tapping "Settings," then "wi-fi" and finally "On." Your phone must be connected either to a wireless network or 3G data plan. Youtube videos can be searched and watched only if the iPhone is receiving Internet data.
  • Tap the Youtube icon on the home screen of the iPhone. You can access the iPhone's home screen by pushing the "home" button located just beneath the screen of the phone.
  • Search for specific Youtube videos or browse featured, most viewed or favorite videos. Search for specific videos by tapping the search box and typing in your desired video. Browse Youtube videos by selecting one of the tabs on the top of the screen.
  • Play a Youtube video. When you find a video you wish to watch, simply tap the screen over the video. The video will begin playing in landscape mode, so turn the iPhone sideways so it is oriented horizontally.
Control the video with the onscreen buttons. You can pause, play, fast forward, and rewind a video clip from the iPhone screen. Tap the screen to bring up the controls and tap the onscreen icons to control the video.

I hope this solution helps you.
Let me if you have some confusion

I have the you tube app for my bb curve and when I go to watch a video it works for a bit then It stops and says its buffering every 2 or so minutes and when the video comes back on its all distorted and...

To watch Youtube on any device let alone on a mobile device requires you to have good bandwidth for your internet connection: when buffering occurs, it means that your device and web connection cannot keep up with the Video demands and can eventually get completely distorted, choppy ... and unusable! If you don't have a 3G/HSPA or fast Wifi, expect bad Youtube performance!

When I try to watch any HD video in my browser, it becomes choppy

If you click a HD video on YouTube, just push the pause button. This will allow the video to download before you watch it. HD videos require more time to download from the YouTube server, which is why you can usually watch normal videos without pausing to wait for it to download.
    Hope this helps!!

Link to a Certain Point in YouTube

    Yes, you can.

For example, simply add #t=1m30s to the end of the URL for 1 minute and 30 seconds.

    Here's an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OBlgSz8sSM#t=0m30s
