SOURCE: Belkin N1 Wireless Adaptor not connecting on PC

what the adviser meant was your pc cannot provide enough power to the usb port to power the unit, assuming you have tried other ports and it still wont work; you will need to either purchase a pci usb 2.0 card adapter or purchase a mains powered usb hub and connect to this instead.

I have replaced my dell inspiron 6400 screen cover. Now my wifi connection does not work. I am getting a message "no wifi networks found". Manual diagnostics tool shows "scan test"...

1st : check if the wireless capability of your notebook is enabled. There might be a switch or button that needs to be pressed to enable the wireless capabilty of your notebook.

2nd : check the device manager if the wireless network card is listed with no question mark or exclamation point. if it has, then reinstall the driver.

3nd or the wireless card might loosen.. at the bottom of your notebook, you will find several screws there. look for a small box usually with 2 screws. Open that up and you should see a black and white cable connected to a small card. Ensure those 2 cables are connected. Ensure that the laptop is powered off when you do this. Then try it again.

Hope that works.

My dell inspiron mini laptop used to work wireless. It doesn't work anymore. In re-installed the wireless driver and it still doesn't work. Model is inspiron 910

In Device manager, under the network adaptor are you able to see wireless adaptor for your device. - see if it not marked as disable( Red Mark or Yellow Mark)
Also check in network connection wheather you Wireless connection is in Enable or Disable mode,

Note: Please dont forgot to rate me.

Wireless not working on Dell D610, installed drivers, enabled in bios able to use FN F2 key show icon but no lites above keyboard

it might be diasbled. try windows key + "x", if this doesn't work when you turn it on there, try going to network connections and enable the wireless. Go to control panel, select network and sharing, change adapter settings, you'd have something like wireless network connection, right click and click enable if its disabled.

I have reloaded XP on my 6 year old Dell Inspiron 500m and it appears to have forgotton it has a built in wireless adaptor. The wireless network icon only shows in the 'my connections' display when I...

For starters, make sure the wireless adapter is turned on. Some laptops have an external switch. Also, look to see adapter is enabled in the Device Manager (control panel > system). If you do not see an device manager, you may need to reinstall driver for the adapter. All drivers that came with system can be found online at Dell's support website.

Reinstalled vista on Dell E521s but lost network connection.

Does in system hardware configuration the network adapter show up with a driver attached to it?
Recover disk/partitions not only includes windows but all further necessary drivers for such PC then windows provides. Graphic adapater, soundcard, networkadapter.
If there is a unrecognized networkk adaptor there type 1394 you should get to know which driver it needs.

This is why I dislike Dell PC's allways. You own one, they own you together with Microsoft

Dell Inspiron 6000 won't connet wireless network after reinstall

check DEVICE MANAGER if the wireless card have the right driver installed. if you found that the wireless card have yellow exclamation point on the right it means, you installed a wrong driver.

check also in BIOS if the wireless card is enable and the switch is turn on.

press Fn+F2 to enable wireless radio/anthena (funtion key with wireless icon in blue color)

some dell laptop have hard switch located right side check this and turn the switch on.

if you want to see the icon n task bar, go to control panel....network connection...right click on wireless adapter...select properties...check Show on taskbar

How to setup network adaptor

Hi there,

Technically you should provide 'IP Address" to your network card. Generally IP address is provided by the ISP (Internet Service Provider) provider you are using.

Once you get the ip address you can configure it by right clicking on the my network>properties>TCP/IP setting.

This will work.

LAN CARD ADAPTOR IS MISSING AFTER FORMATING TO XP PRO

Not sure I understand you what you mean. Let me recap:
1) Your LAN adaptor was working before you reloaded Windows XP Pro.
2) Now it’s not showing up in “Device Manager”.
If this is the case, there must be some software driver missing. Make sure there are no other devices that have an error. Double check Dell’s website at www.support.dell.com and select "I'm looking for drivers and downloads". If you don't have the proper version of Adobe you will be prompted to install it. Once installed return to "drivers and downloads" and enter the "service tag", (serial number) of the laptop. Dell keeps a listing of drivers for every customer's computer they sell.

Dell Inspiron 1526 wireless

Usually this is a driver problem, in which you have the wrong driver trying to configure the wireless. Some wireless drivers and cards are so similar that they will install and either show and network but won't connect, or show the card working but won't see the network. Take the cover off the bottom and get the make and model of the card, then find the right driver either at Dell's support site or driverguide.com. Dell uses several different wireless cards and checking the make and model of the card is the only sure way of knowing you have the correct driver.
