Have a used Emerson tc1375a hooked up to cable only gets channel 3 and 4 picture is great. Does it need to be reset or what can I do

Usually a TV must be set to either channel 3 or 4 to receive a TV service provider such as cable or Direct TV. The service provider now controls your channels and broadcasts on either channel 3 or 4. You choose channels from what ever equipment they gave you which is usually not the remote that came with your set. You may need to check the way you are set up. If you are using an antenna go into the menu on the TV and make sure it is set to antennae not cable. This may also be the problem. Good luck.

Emerson lc320em9 trying to hook up a 2 channel stereo for better sound. No outputs for this. Any suggestions?

Typically, you connect your source input (i.e. cable or satellite) to the stereo/receiver. You then connect from the output of the stereo to the TV. This TV does not have any digital audio outputs unfortunately such as optical.

How do I hook up my Wii to my 32" Emerson lcd hd tv? I have my dishnetwork satellite hooked into the dvd player and it's hooked up to the TV. On my remote I don't see a "game" button like my older Emerson...

I found a better way and it works fine. I have a new 32 inch Emerson, with only one composit hood up ( which won't work with the wii) 2 HDMI's ( again does not hook up to the wii, the monitor hook up for PC, red and white ( yellow plus is not there it's for a stereo they told me), and the usb hook up ( which is more for pictures I was told by the company). The answer was to hook my RCA plus to the red and white under the composite, then hook the yellow into the green plug of the composite, and behold- my will now works fine.

We have an Emerson 20inch tv that suddenly lost it's color.

Do a reset to this TV and then check. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.
Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

Can't find the input/video channel for my Emerson TV

universal remotes are tricky, if you have the pamphlet, often times there are several codes for each brand. you have to try all the emerson codes for your universal even tho the power, volume and channel functions may work with several emerson codes, some of these specialized buttons (like input) may only work on your TV with one specific code.

also, if there are any unlabeled buttons on the universal try them with each new emerson code.

I can't hook up the vcr

I would strongly suggest connecting a plain, coaxial cable wire from your sat box to the the ANT IN of the VCR. then use another coaxial to run from the ANT OUT of the VCR to the TV. Then you can change your TV to channel 3 or 4 as appropriate.

If you have a newer digital satellite receiver, this setup may not work. In that case, use two sets of red/white/yellow cables - 1 set will run from the out of the satellite receiver to the audio, video IN of the VCR. The second set will run from the audio and video OUT of the VCR to your TV. Then change your television to Aux 1, aux2 or whatever channel that corresponds to the red/white yellow.

Have fun!

Hooking up a dvd/vcr player

The easiest way to connect the unit is via coax. You can come out of your satellite receiver via the "Out to TV" on the back of the receiver to the "In from Ant" on your DVD/VCR combo. You can then connect another coax from the "Out to TV" on the DVD/VCR combo to the "Ant/Cable" input on the back of you TV. Make sure the satellite receiver and the vcr are both modulated to the same channel, normally channel 3.
