Cannot receive outlook email anymore on my blackberry
Hi, before leaving for vacation to Asia, my company's IT dept set up a link so that I can receive my desktop outlook email from the office onto my blackberry curve phone while I am away. It was working fine for a few days but now I am not able to receive any new mail. What steps should I take to begin receiving email again or what steps should I tell my colleagues back home to take if the problem rests with the desktop ( I believe blackberry desktop manager was set up on my computer). I will not be back for another week and it is important that I reconnect with my outlook account. Thank you
Re: cannot receive outlook email anymore on my blackberry
Do you have a redirector intalled that pushes the email forward to your device? Sometimes the redirector get turned offf, or the desktop gets turned off and I stop getting my emails when I'm away from the office.

If you are using Outlook as you email reader on the laptop, whenever you open Outlook, it goes to the Android email site and downloads the emails. Outlook has a setting that allows you to leave the emails on the website, or it will delete them after downloading them to the Outlook application. Go to Outlook and disable the delete function.
it would be just about the same as your Outlook setup. You should be able to setup your Blackberry for POP or IMAP:
From the BlackBerry handheld Home screen or Tools menu, select the Set Up Internet E-mail or E-mail Setup icon.
You will need the following from your email provider:
Incoming email server (POP or IMAP) Outgoing email server (SMTP) and port # Email address Password
hope this solves ur problem

It seems that your phone is having a problem with outlook. Make sure that your user account settings are correct for your email accounts. Are you using the same email provider for yur personal and business accounts? If your outlook settings are correct you can try an update for your phones messaging software. Go to this website and follow the directions.. https://motorolasetup.tarsin.com/home.htm?manufacturer=1&deviceKey2=V9
has your provider added the Blackberry service to your mobile account? Easy way to tell is look at top of screen where gprs is shown. If it is not in capital letters, i.e. GPRS, then the Blackberry service has not been activated. With the Blackberry service activated all you need to do is launch the email set up wizard and enter 'email address' and 'password' that you use to access that email account say on a pc. Then it should set itself up using the Blackberry service.
With regards to Face book, make sure your internet browser on device is running and visit the Blackberry website where you can download the new Aps application. Here you will find Facebook Ap and many more to download over the air.
I presume the Blackberry service works the same all over the world? Thats how the UK system works. Hope that helps?
Blackberry Enterprise Server is usually a corporate option and involves linking your Blackberry to a server like Microsoft Exchange. Are you trying to link to a corporate server or do you just want to use the standard Blackberry service? If you are trying to link to a corp server you will need to speak to your works I.T. dept who manage the server as they will have set passwords and email access. If you just want to use the standard Blackberry service speak to you network provider who can add Blackberry service to your account and set it up for you.
Hope that helps?
Hi, Possibly this could be the reason. Your iPhone might have been setup with IMAP connection, and Outlook with POP3. In this case, once email is downloaded by Outlook, it will be deleted from the att.net server. So, go to Advanced in your Outlook account configuration and Select the option leave a copy on the server.
Then you will have to delete all the emails individually from your phone too.
