Question about Panasonic VIERA TC-P50GT30 50-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV
When we turn the tv on, a thick 2-3" black band appears accross the screen, horizontally. Eventually it goes away but it seems to be taking more time to go away.

it'll not be there when tv off because dead pixels do only show when back light of screen comes on, anyway if you still have a warranty then ask for them to check it out as it sounds like you need a new screen there mate

sounds lie a couple bad drive Ics on the buffer boards. You can get replacement buffer boards and free technical assistance from www.tvrepairworld.com
