My dishwasher will not drain

It can bequite common for a dishwasher to not drain because either the drain hose or theair gap (if the unit has one) is clogged up. Drain hose clogs commonly occurwhere the hose is attached to the main household drain line, or where the hoseconnects with the garbage disposer. Turn mainswater off and disconnect mains power Tryremoving the drain hose to unclog any debris. Don't forget to reattach the hosebefore you start your dishwasher again. The drainpump is blocked or restricted by debrisPossibly something stuck/jammed in the wash or drainpropeller, remove filter mesh at the bottom of the dishwasher. Water in washer does not drain

A couple of other possibilities exist:
1. Debris between inner and outer tubs - this may cause the tub to not turn properly, motor overloads and kicks out on the thermal overload. To correct, you have to do some major dismantling of the washer to remove the debris. This will be dependent on the brand.

2. Debris stuck in the pump - same issue as above. Thermal overload kicking out the motor. You may be able to disconnect the hose from the pump and remove the debris. Most newer pumps cannot be dismantled; you will have to replace it if you can't remove the debris.

I'm hoping your problem is in the last post - out-of-balance switch.

Keep in mind that this is one generic answer (we dont know your brand).

Good luck (remember to rate this help).

My above ground pool vacuum does not move. It sounds like it is working, but it just sits in one spot.

With these pool cleaners, the common cause of this problem is issues with the flapper. With the pump off, remove the cleaner from the pool and check the flapper for any signs of damage or debris that could be causing problems with movement. It should move freely and their should be no obvious stones, twigs or other debris clogging this area. If you see debris, simply remove it. If you see debris that can't easily be reached with your fingers, you will need to remove the plate where the debris goes when vacuuming. Use a small flat headed screwdriver to push on one of the two tabs located on the side of the base plate. Release the plate, remove the flapper, and remove the debris. Reattach your plate and try your cleaner again.

Not working

Disconnect water hoses from machine. Inspect the filter screen on the cold and hot water connection. DO NOT REMOVE SCREEN. If full of debris, use a spray bottle with a hard spray to remove debris. If unable to remove debris or water flow is still slow, replace valve.

If you need further assistance, let me know
