Got cold water in cold water tap but no water in hot water tap

It sounds like a hot water heater issue. At the top of the heater, there are two pipes - one brings in cold water; the other sends hot water to the house. Some heaters have a valve on one of those pipes. The valve would be controlled by a large handle that either points straight out from the pipe or points in the same direction of the water pipe. If points straight out, that means it is off. Pull the handle so it is pointing the same direction as the pipe. Note: handle only moves one direction and can be hard to move. If won't move one way, try the other.

Toilet handle sticks

It sounds like the nylon nut which holds the handle in place is too tight. Try loosening that nylon nut just a little to see if the handle moves easier. Sometimes if they are over-tightened, the handle will be stiff and hard to operate.

Really stiff turning. I am looking at a 2008 CBR 600 on craigslist and when I took it for a ride, the handlebars were extremely stiff. It's hard to describe, but when doing a tight turn the handlebars...

take a riding course... the instructor will tell you to push the handle bar to the opposite side you are turning when running about 30mph and you really dont turn the handle bar when turning at a high speed. in low speed, handle bars should not be very stiff. maybe check tire pressure.

The swing mixer handle has become very stiff. how do i get it off to clean it/

The first solution is of course correct. However I found it almost impossible to remove the spout assembly. It was very stiff and it was difficult to get any leverage to force it off without damaging the finish to the tap as a whole or damaging the sink.

What I found was that if you poured boiling water over the tap/faucet it eased the stiffness and having done this several times - ie about 5 kettle loads of hot water, I managed to remove the spout. It helps if you reconnect the hose directly to the outlet under the sink (ie not via the faucet). THis allows you to run cold water through the tap whilst pourung boiling water over the outside of the tap. The cold water shrinks the copper/brass components whilst the hot water expands the spout assembly.
Once off, it is possible to clean the inside of the assembly to remove corrosion or calcium deposits to say nothing of old "O" rings.

I also used a kettle descaler between dousing with boiling water in the hope that some of it would seep down within the assembly.

It took me three attempts to do this. I was almost going to spend UK pounds 430 or US dollars 670 and buy a new unit. So do not give up and I hope this helps.
It swings backward and forward now perfectly.

Cold water flow is slow and handle is starting to get a little stiff to raise and lower - what is wrong and how can it be fixed? Moen M7800 Kitchen faucet

Not sure whether you are aware or not but most times, if you call moen with your model number and explain the problem your having, they will usually send you (free of charge-lifetime warranty) the part with instructions on repairing it along with it. You may have the 7800 series, but there are 3 or 4 different models if you check their site, and can identify the actual model, they will send you repair parts. Tell them you bought it ? years ago, and don't have the receipt, if they even ask.
try this link, if no luck, get back to me.

I bought a replacement Danko faucet cartridge for an american standard bathroom sink and the package said hot/cold but when I installed it on the cold side the handle turns the wrong way. How do I reverse...

Thae stem you got that said hot/cold were designed to fit old style cross handle faucets. So both hot and cold turned the same way. If the cold side you are replacing turns the opposite direction then you will need to get a cold stem. Danco does make them. Ask the retailer where you purchased the H/C stem. I hope this helps..

The faucet handle has become stiff to turn off and on, and to switch between cold and hot. I have loosened the screw with an Allen key, but cannot remove handle.

The handle has build up in it but should come off eventually. Sounds like a dry o-ring seal. You can purchase a kit for your model without having to replace the whole unit.

2-handle faucet handles both rotate "on" counter=clockwise

Here's the solution from Delta:
On a two-handle kitchen or lavatory faucet, if the handles rotate in the wrong direction, simply rotate the right stem stop assembly 180 degrees. This will change the rotation of the handle to the other direction.

you didnt mention which side hot or cold?
it sounds like its scaled up & the o ring has dried out so it could be a case of replacing o ring & regreasing. ifits when you turn either hot or cold & its stiff then a replacement cartridge will required
