Blow dryer on med for 40 minutes and then filled a glass with rice, inserted Ipod for 24 hours and it started up. The trick is the rice it sucks up all the water.
I found I had to reapet the rice bath twice.Every thing is good now.

My alias 2 got wet so I put it in a bag of uncooked rice. The inside screen still has moisture in it. Can I take the screen off? It has been in the rice for more than 24 hrs.

Hi,
Change the rice to make sure it is dry again... then wait a couple of more days... sometimes it can take a few changes of the rice and up to a week to get them dried out...DO NOT turn the phone back on until you are sure that it is completely dry or irreversible damage will be done...

Phone got wet need to take apart to dry...how?

One method that has worked for many people and water damaged phones, (myself included), is to put the phone in small zip lock bag of rice to dry.

Simply disassemble the back cover, remove the battery, and place the phone in a zip-lock bag filled about half way with white rice. The moisture in the phone from the water should be absorbed by the rice after a few hours. This is best done every evening for a week or so until the phone has completely dried out.
It is best not to wait until the phone has dried on it's own after a few days, because if water evaporates on it's own in the phone, it can leave behind residue on the internals of the circuit board.
Good luck!

Can you fix ds lite water damaged

as long as the screens are still fine and work just change the motherboard. You could try drying it out, but the mistake alot of people make is when water is spilt on it is to turn it on to see if it still works, your best bet is to just take the battery out and leave it for about 48hrs to dry out. good luck

Wet phone...

more than likely your phone probably got shorted through your charging port. it doesn't take alot of moisture for this to happen.however you might luckout by just getting a new battery. generally if it shorts out most often times the phone doesn't suffer the same effect.

Take battery out and place everything in a tupperware bowl filled with rice and put the lid on it. This will dry up all of the moisture.
