Hello Julia Anne Mcghee - Usually this type of information is not release to someone who is not a technician (or to a consumer) and it is very rare to find enough information to do it yourself. In most cases this information can be found on the internet; however it is not provided directly from the manufacturer. Typically this is something that you want a certified professional to install/remove for you due to safety and liability reasons. They also usually warranty their labor just in case something else may turn out to be the root cause of your initial problem and it does work out better to your advantage. Consider contacting your manufacturer for more details on who in your area can properly repair/install this part. (part usually have a 30 day warranty with tech). I would suggest contacting your manufacturer to provide you a listing of authorized technicians in your area whom may guide you through this process.

How do I know if the fuse is bad in my dryer

It depends on what fuse you're talking about. They have 3 or 4 different fuses. The thermal fuse will prevent the dryer from turning on at all. The other fuses are for the heating element. Those fuses dont go bad that often.

Dryer tumbles, blows cold air no heat, looking for access to fuses, dont know what part of dryer fuses are located

Many times one pole of a double pole breaker may trip allowing the dryer to operate but with no heat. Go to the electric panel and reset the circuit breaker for the dryer. Also check to insure there is air flow at the vent a clogged vent willl prevent clothes from drying

How to take off heating element. The fuses seems

do you have a meter?pull one of the wires off the heater and read it out,you could have a bad thermal fuse,a,bad high limit t stat or a couple of other problems, check to make sure you have 240 volts coming in at the back of dryer at the block where the cord connects to dryer, there are 2 house fuses that can go to dryer and one could be bad, next time send model number,if the filter is on top then go to the back of dryer,if the filter is inside, take off the bottom panel and check out the thermal fuse there,it's located on the blower wheel housing it's either 3392519 or 3390719 depending on model number,if you need more help let me know, good luck

Dryer is hot to the touch after cycling off

If its the top of the dryer then the problem is with your venting. Run the dryer and go outside check to see if you have any airflow. If you dont feel strong airflow then replace or clean your vent line. This can lead to blown hi limit fuses if the problem is not corrected.

Hope this helps _MJ_

Dryer runs but doesnt heat up

On a Whirlpool, it has been for me the coils are broken...it can be fixed by undoing the belt, 'popping' the top pnl up with a screwdriver, lean the front pnl down then move the drum forward to get to the coils. You MUST use a crimp type connector as these are nickle wire and won't solder easily. Saves a lot of money and will run forever. Definitly unplug it first! Duh!

My dryer ran all day long. The timer was still in the same position as when I left the house. The 'regular' heat is now not working either, air fluff only.

one of the fuses in your house's fuse box is blown check both fuses for continuity and replace the blown fuse you only have 115 v coming to the dryer which will run the motor but wont run the heat or the timer let me know how you make out and dont forget to rate this suggestion thanks
