The Auditron feature is used to prevent the machine from being used by unauthorized users and also to track the total number of copies or prints produced with each account. When the total number reaches the upper limit set up by machine administrator, users cannot use the copy feature on the machine. Before resetting the machine you will want to print a usage report. Those instructions are at the bottom of these instructions.
Press the [Log In / Out] button on the Control Panel. See the Related Items below for additional information on navigating the Control Panel.
Press the [Select] button below the Display Screen to select 'System Settings.'
Use the numeric keypad on the Control Panel to enter the Administrator Login ID, then press the [Select] button to confirm.
NOTE: The default System Administrator Login ID is set to 11111. The System Administrator mode allows you to customize many settings on the machine to suit your particular requirements. The machine enters the Machine Administrator mode only when a correct System Administrator login ID is entered.
Press the [Select] button until 'Auditron Admin' is highlighted, and then press the [Enter] button on the Control Panel to confirm selection. The Auditron Administration screen will be displayed.

Try this site for your manual. Go to the right side and in the box click on the PDF download. A window will pop up asking you to answer four question, just click on each number 10 star and it will let you download the manual. I looked at the manual and it is 220 pages, so it may take a few minutes to download depending on your computer speed. http://safemanuals.com/user-guide-instructions-owner-manual/SAMSUNG/CLX-3175-_E
Set activity report ON, under report sett. under user mode (MENU), then the report is automatically printed after 20 TXs or RXs. I think that there must be some kind of button with triangle with "eye", there must be counter, status, and if I recall activity report printout. Hope that helped

more important than all that nonsense is:
is it faint when you do an internal report or make a copy?
if only on copies it is the film on the underside of the glass.
if on prints and copies it is the drum.
There are a couple of issues here.
1 You may, unlikely but may have a bad drum cartridge.
First thing to try though, is to print out a report.
Billing meter report, system settings, any report and see if the defect it still there on a print.
If it is, then you have either a drum or laser issue.
If it is not on the printed report, the problem is in the scanner. Most likely just a dirty mirror.
If it occurs on the printed reports, remove the toner and look into the left hand area of the machine. There is a slot about 6 inches wide and about 5/16th in height, see if there is anything in that path. That is the laser opening. If there is an obstruction there, then remove it. Take a cloth or q tip and clean that slot.
the laser itself may be dirty.
But here once again.
If you run a report and the defect IS on the image. You have a drum or laser problem,
If you run a report and the defect IS NOT on the page, then you have a scanner issue.
