Can you remove the front cover, access the rear of the button, clean, use silicon spray/ repair. Sometimes the plastic retainer/spring will break and not return the button to the out position.

Solution 1:
  • Unplug the printer.
  • Remove the faulty Cartridge
  • Plug in the printer and press and hold power button
  • Keep it held down. Press Resume twice, and this should reset the fault.
Solution 2:
  • The last cartridge installed may be faulty.
  • Install a new cartridge

Solution 3:
  • When error is indicated, turn power switch off so green light is extinguished.
  • Hold down resume button and hold down power button so both are held down at same time
  • When green light comes on, continue holding down power button and let resume button go, then press resume button twice.
  • Let power button go.
  • Press resume button four times, power button should be released before doing this.
  • Wait until printer settles down, if power is off, turn on. If power will not come on, remove power cord from back of printer, then wait 15 seconds before plugging back in again and turn power on.

I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH OVER HEATING, NOW MY LAPTOP HAS CUT OUT AND WONT RE-START. WHEN YOU PRESS THE POWER BUTTON IT LIGHTS UP AND YOU CAN HEAR THE FAN OR SOMETHING BUT THE SCREEN STAYS BLANK. ALSO...

When a laptop overheats the CPU will shutdown, this is known as thermal overload. The laptop will not boot up until the CPU has cooled down. If this problem in not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
This problem is usually caused by a faulty fan or the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust.
Replace the fan if it does not spin freely and or remove the dust clogging the fan and heat sink.

Asko dryer model#7005 when i start the dryer i push the start button and let it go it does not stay on. If i hold the start button down the dryer will stay running.

Hi There, Sounds like there is a relay switch that may be faulty, the power should latch on when you press the start button, I am unsure of this model type, but usually there is a small PCB inside the unit behind the facia, remove the top to expose it, and you can either replace the PCB or replace the relay the latter being cheaper but more work as you will have to reflow and solder the relay

Pc keeps randomly powering off & then back on. Won't stop until I unplug it.Holding down power button won't shut it off. On occasion it will stay on - is able to boot & be used normally while it...

Power supplies usually are culprits in random shut downs, but random start ups is a bit more complicated. You say that when you hold the power button, the computer won't power down. Perhaps you have a faulty switch? Make sure your PW switch cable is securely attached to the motherboard. But I'm leaning more toward a faulty switch or a short in the wires. Seems like a good place to start.

Not working

This maybe down to a faulty cartridge replace cartridges and then retry. You can try the following to obtain a test sheet.

  • Turn on printer
  • Hold power button down (While printer is on)
  • Press the paper feed button once
  • Release both buttons
This will printout a test sheet but I really do think that it is a faulty cartridge problem.

Hope I could help
Thanks J
