Paper will not feed

When print command is initated the paper will not fully feed. Sounds as if the wheels are spinning but not catching the paper for proper feed.

When I click "print" the paper will feed a little and then it sounds like it's just printing in the same place (paper not feeding through). I have to pull the paper back out (not THROUGH) and the error message comes on the printer screen that I have a paper jam.

Knwrght is correct in his answer. If you look inside where you would when you change a cartridge, look to the far left side where you can see white gears. There should be a gear on the end of the shaft that runs the paper up to the print head. Look for pieces laying in the bottom of the machine.

There is a gear that normally breaks, or cracks and it does not finish feeding past the print head, no parts are available for it unless you find one for sale with a different problem, you are stuck

Our printer is printing everything off center and skewed to the left so you can't read the amounts. What can we do to fix it?

Sounds like an uneven paper feed. Check the paper path and clean the rollers/wheels with isopropil alcohol and a Q tip. Also check the printing element that it is not catching on the paper.

My printer attemps to grab the paper but does not for either copies or from a computer command

The paper feed roller(s) are probably dirty. If you can reach the the roller that pulls in the paper try to clean it with alcohol or kitchen type cleaner if you do not have alcohol make shure it is fully dry before trying to print. You can also wet one sheet of paper with alcohol where the roller will grab it and tell it to print while firmly holding back the paper as you do not want wet paper to feed into machine repeat if needed

get yourself a can of electronic contact cleaner in a arisal can. spray this on a rag and clean the paper feed wheels and the seperator pad (cork piece about 3/16 x 1inch) located right under the paper pick wheel.these wheels get glue build up on them and become slippery the contact cleaner will remove the glue with out leaving a residue behind

Paper doesn't advance through the printer

Hi, Sounds very much like the feed rollers are worn out. If you can get to them without too much trouble you can clean them up with regular rubbing alcohol and a rag which will help the paper feed. You might also want to try unpluging the printer and trying to roll the paper feed buttons by hand and seeing if a piece of paper will feed through without catching anywhere. If it does catch somewhere, then you may very well have a small piece of paper jammed in the paper path causing the jam. Good luck.

Paper feed not working

remove the paper from the machine and look where it feeds in. There should be some rubber rollers, try cleaning them with a rag and some rubbing alcohol. If this doesn't work let me know. Also fan the paper before loading it. John
