SOURCE: Marvel 6BAR stopped cooling

I had the same issue after the unit was two weeks old. Marvel sent service people to service the unit, but they ultimately told me that the unit was not suppose to get any cooler because "of federal regulations" (I kid you not). I had to have an unaffiliated repair person remove the digital thermometer and put in a manual one. Now the unit cools well and I am pursuing Marvel for the $200 the service person charged me.

Can I program a 10 dip switch remote to replace an 8 dip switch remote?

You should be able to, 8 dip switches gives you 256 addresses, the 10 dip switches gives 2048 addresses, just leave switches 9 and 10 in the off position and set the switched the same.

DIP Switches don't seem to matter

You need to completely power off (wall switch or breaker) when changing the dip switches. Not just power off from remote because it will keep previous setting. I learned it the hard way....

No dip switch in Hunter 27157 remote control.

Those aren't transistors in the transmitter they are jumpers. Match the jumper settings with your dip switch settings in the receiver. You can move the jumpers in the transmitter using a small needle nose pliers. An open jumper in the transmitter equals an OFF setting on the dip switch in the receiver.

Good luck!

My light for my marvel wine fridge will not turn off?

There is also a light override ON/OFF button next to the door switch to allow the light to remain on for display setups. Make sure that switch is off. If it is off, then your door switch must be shorted out and should be replaced.

Marvel 6BAR stopped cooling

The dip switches define the temp range. You have it set to the warmest. Try moving the next dip switch to move the range cooler.
