SOURCE: Can someone please tell me what is the lowest temperature setting a Fahrenheat 3000 Watt Large Room Fan-Forced Wall Heater Model FZL3004 will turn on at ?

about the only way I can figure is to let the room get very cool and adjust the thermostat to its lowest setting. now turn on the unit. monitor the heat until the stat just opens. the thermostat bimetal will be closed and will open when the bimetal expands and opens its contacts. another way is to hitch up a chart recorder to measure temperature with its output connected to the heater. [too expensive for you or the DIY to accomplish]

SOURCE: I have a fahrenheat lfp

Greetings, I have the same problem. There is a one inch square diode with 5-prong connections held on the control end by a screw on the unit's back. That's where my burning smell and very hot area were located. Call Carrol Apl. 1-800-654-3545. They have the diode for $9 + $9.95 postage. Matt who works there knows the part. Problem must be widespread - China Mfr.= Garbage products and No US Jobs.

1st you will belucky if you actually have 240 v, most
homes are usually 220v. In youyr case you need to start at the breaker panel.

This is an example:
You have a Double Pole Single Throw breaker. Black
Wire is hot and goes into one side of breaker,if you havea red wire that goes into the other have of the
breaker.

The white wire ties in the nuetral bar and the bare wire into the ground bus bar. At the unit you hook up the red and the black wire which will supply the 240
Volts, you could tie the white and the ground wires together into the grounding terminal

This 120V / 12A heater *requires* the full capacity of a 15 amp circuit - which means it must be on its own 15 amp circuit and not added to any other 15 amp (outlet or lighting) circuit.

Double check for a circuit breaker in the tripped or off position (or blown fuse). Reset and turn on (or replace fuse) as needed. If circuit breakers and fuses look OK - it may be a faulty heater, thermostat, connection, etc.and calling an electrician might be the best and safest solution.

Thermal Limiter Tripped/FAQE7077KRO

If your thermal fuse is blown, the one located on the heater can it's self (small one), it's best to check your complete home exhaust for proper functionality. Additionally the connecting hose from the dryer to the home pipe at the wall should be free of kinks when the dryer is returned to position, and be no longer than it takes to connect the unit to the wall. A vent test instrument or professional vent cleaning company is always recommended for proper vent diagnosis. If your outlet thermostat located on the outlet pipe after the blower housing inside the dryer is tripped, your temp thermistor located on the front of your blower housing may be suspect. One final thing to check would be if the heater assembly is shorted to ground, using a DMM and separately checking each heater leg to the heater body, with the unit unplugged from the wall, and both heater terminal connectors unplugged from the heater. Could be either. But, I suspect that wiring is getting hot enough to trip the breaker. Check all of your wiring to see if there is a hot spot or insulation melted.

If the interior of the heater is dusty and dirty, this may be your problem. Turn off the circuit breaker feed to the heater, remove the front cover and clean the interior with a vacuum cleaner with brush attachment. Pay special attention to the fan blades. Any dust and dirt that the vacuum can't reach can be blown out with a can of compressed air (like you clean a computer with) and the straw nozzle. If you use the canned air, vacuum again after blowing it out. Replace the front cover, turn on the circuit breaker and test the heater. If that doesn't solve the problem, go to the manufacturer's website to obtain parts.

Fault 14 on rinnai energysaver 556ftr

Hi.

Error code 14 is Overheating error.

The error can be caused by the high limit sensing overheating and cutting off. In that case the thermal fuse may not blow. The high limit can be reset tripping circuit breaker and allowing the unit to cool down with power off.

If that does not work , then the thermo fuse has blown

In fact tis unit has a thermo fuse. (refer to manual). The thermal fuse can be tested reading continuity. If thermal fuse has blown, then replace the the thermo fuse. If the thermo fuse blows again, then there is a condition causing overheating. b260351.gif

Here Full service manual.

Unless you are a trained technician call Rinnai support ringing the number in the manual. Some of testing and repair operations described are not suitable for the home user.

Regards.

Ginko.

Maytag portable dryer DE50, no power. Does this

Make sure there's power getting to the dryer. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power with a voltmeter or by plugging something else in.

If there is power available for the unit, thsi will lead to a busted thermal fuse.

Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.

Note: It is recommended by most dryer manufacturers to replace a hi-limit thermostat when replacing a thermal fuse.

Electric baseboard heater

You need a meter, it will be hard without this! If you have 220v in the wall, then think of it like this; each wire is 120v. Test to each other, you get 220v. The thermostat is a double pole, you said. So think of it like this, its an adjustable temperature controlled switch that lets electricity through at the temp. you set it at. If you have 120v from one wire connected to one end of the element, and the other 120v connected to the other end of the element, then it will work. DO NOT CONNECT THE 120V TOGETHER. IT MUST GO THROUGH THE ELEMENT FIRST. The thermostat should be between the power from the wall and the element, to control the temperature.

Fahrenheat 4000 watt wall mounted heater shuts off and needs reset

the reset is probably an inline circuit breaker. if you can get hold of am amprobe clamp around ammeter, check the current when the unit is running at full power. the reading you get check against the current rating of the inline breaker. your fan motor bearings may be dry increasing the current draw of the unit and tripping the breaker. try oiling the fan bearings with a light oil NOT WD-40.
