Loud vibrating moise comes and goes with my craftsman 16 in. scroll saw?

Sounds like the bearings might be binding up after they warm up. If this is like the one I have (and many others) there are sintered bronze bushings used for the bearings on the beam. These are a porous bronze material made by squeezing together tiny bronze particles. The idea is that you soak the bushings in oil once in a while, so there is a contiunously availble little bit of oil. They come with little plastic cups that you fill with oil and snap over the bushings and let sit for a day. You have to do this once every several years. You can do it without the cups buy flipping it on it's side, using a little masking tape or playdough to make a dam and putting a puddle of oil there, doing one side at a time. But you can first confirm if this is the problem by moving the beam up and down by hand when it's cold, and then once it starts to vibrate (when it's hot) turn it off and try it manually again - if the bushings are getting tight, you will feel the difference. Good luck.

Delta 33-890 making loud harmonic squeal

talked to Delta tech and he said that it is a common sound that is particular to this tool. Using a blade with more teeth (80 and up) splits the air better. anti vibration cuts laser ut into the blade also a must. i also changed to a lighter blade. i found that the heavier one wants to hold on to the sound better.......if that makes sense..

This thing vibrates so much that I can't feel where the saw begins or ends in my hands. It is new!!! Do all these things vibrate so much? I can only use it at about half speed or it slips out of my hands.

For the most part they do vibrate, that's why it is good to make use of the blade guard when cutting. It cuts back on the vibration. I have hand to use a saw without having that guard against what I was cutting and I thought I was going to have my arm fall off. You may want to check to see that the blade and that part the blade goes into are nice and tight. I've used many saws on different jobs, the best brand of saw for the vibration standpoint that I've found is Craftsman.

Loud vibration

If it is a frost free check the fan inside. The fans can have bearing failure after a few years thus causing the vibration. Also the compressor underneath is mounted on rubber vibration dampers and if one of these rubber mounts fail then the compressor will start vibrating against the refrigerator frame causing a loud vibration. If none of these apply gently press on the side and front panel of the refrigerator to try and locate the source of the vibration as any where metal is vibrating against metal the side and front panel act as a sounding board amplifying the sound. If you cant locate the vibration then you may have a more serious problem and may need to call a technician.
