Question about Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SBT Top Load Washer

1 Answer

Wash light remains on WTW5500XW

After sensing and Water goes in and I hear it moving around. Then after about 15-20 minutes, all lights go off, door unlocks and the "WASH" light comes on and just stays on, doesn't finish the cycle or anything. I then have to turn the know to rinse and spin to get all the water out. I just got it yesterday from a Rental place and it was still brand new never used.

SOURCE: Agitator moves slowly on wash cycle/not at all on spin cycle

it sounds like the dogs are worn. try twisting the agitator post by hand,it should move freely in one direction then lock up going the other.its a pretty easy fix if they are.pry off the top of the agitator post off then remove the cap inside, there is a bolt that holds the post down.i'm pretty sure it's 7/16 in. once the bolt is loose, lift the whole agitator out of machine and with your hand inside post turn it upside downand let the dog holder slide out.watch how the dogs fit into the holder, replace with new dogs and reverse the removal process.
if the machine wont spin, check the lid switch. thats usually the cause of a no spin situation.other than that a wet vac is your best bet.hope that helps.

Kenmore 11025102310 washer isnt working. I press the start button, and the sensing button lights up for just a second and there is a couple of minutes of a grinding type of noise but then nothing.

SENSING Page 5

When the START/PAUSE/Unlock Lid is pressed, the washer will first perform a self-test on the lid lock mechanism. You will hear a click, the basket will make a slight turn, and the lid will unlock briefly before locking again. Once the lid has locked the second time, the washer will use short, slow spins to estimate the load size. These sensing spins may take 2 to 3 minutes before water is added to the load and you may hear the hum of these spins. If the sensing light is on, then washer is working properly. You will hear the motor turn the basket in short pulses to thoroughly wet the load. The washer will then move the load briefly, pause to allow water to soak in to the load, and resume adding water. This process may repeat until the correct amount of water has been added for the load. You may also hear water flowing through the dispenser, adding detergent to the load.

NOTE: Avoid opening the lid during sensing. The sensing process will start over when the washer is restarted. The sensing light may also come on during the Soak and Wash portions of the cycle. This is normal.

If there's no water, then Page 13

Washer won't run or fill, washer stops working, or wash light remains on (indicating that the washer was unable to fill appropriately)

Check for proper water supply.

Both hoses must be attached and have water flowing to

inlet valve.

Both hot and cold water faucets must be turned on.

Check that inlet valve screens have not become clogged.

Check for any kinks in inlet hoses, which can restrict water flow.

Or you have an inlet valve that is not working

Washer WPSR3100WOWW Will wash but not drain and spin... Stops at the rinse Cycle

Christina,
Does it leave water inside the tub? There are a couple of possibilitys. One could be the drain pump. If this fails the wash/rinse cycle will stop as it can sense the water not being pumped out. Can you hear the light sound of a small motot running when it goes into rinse cycle? Listen down at the very bottom far right side or far left side. If you hear the drain pump motor running is there any water discharging out the drain tube going into the wall? You should easily hear the flowing water. If not you have a few possible problems: Drain pump has an obstruction in or around it or, drain pump is actually bad.

Interior lights stay on wile i'm driving my 2005 lincoln navigator

Only one bad door switch should do that

The 20 min time out is the GEM or Body Module,
which is normal only because you have a bad switch,
otherwise it goes to sleep when either front door opens

Put radio on & open a door, the radio should go off
& kill the time delay if no issues exist

My fisher/paykel dishwasher does not complete a cycle. it begins to wash and then acts like it in pause mode

It is possible the delayed start option has been set by mistake.

The way to cancel that would be to press the power button off and then on.

However, I am assuming this problem is with only one of the two drawers.

But I am not sure how much of the wash cycle is done before it goes to pause, eg. do you hear the water flowing in, do you hear the washer arm moving and throwing water around?

If it does not get to the stage of water coming in but you do hear some sounds as soon as the start button is pressed then it is likely the door seal is not setting properly which causes the dishwasher to stop.

Anything you see on the display or lights (if no LCD display)? Trying cleaning the door seal with a clean damp cloth. If problem still there then you need to get the door seal serviced. It is slightly sophisticated part with seal and two motors which require some expertise to replace.

Happy to guide you if door seal replacement is needed. Post me a comment on what you find.

Clean button is flashing

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If the clean light flashes, pauses, and then repeats. When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it stops working and locks the functions (clean light flashes, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.

To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash

-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Dishwasher not moving past sensing cycle

humming noise sounds like a solenoid is not snapping in, this is not something that the average or even above average homeowner can fix. Solenoids go bad, they are a moving part that are activated by electricity, can be dangerous to mess with as water and electricity don't mix. Get a repairman or get a new one.

Washer powers down during wash cycles

It is most likely a very slow fill problem ,either the cold or hot water supply is restricted and the machine cannot sense the right water temp. and will shut down .

Machine cannot wash properly with a small amount of water.

Ckeck ,the screens in the water valve or at the hoses at the top where the faucets are ,clean them or replace them but never leave them out .
