Question about Electrolux Washing Machines

Open Question

EWN 1220 washing machine goes into pause mode after starting new cycle?

I turn off the machine at the power point and sometimes when switched on and reprogrammed the machine will run and wash as normal. The machine goes into pause mode a few seconds after programming and pressing start. When machine pauses the door light stays on and the start/pause button flashes. I have tried switching off and reprogramming but just goes to pause mode. The water connection must be ok because the machine sometimes works. It doesnt spin so efficiently anymore?

SOURCE: I have Model WF-S6607?WF-S6607TC. Washing Machine.

This might be Lid cover open protection. There is a small magnet at the edge of the lid cover, housed in some sort of a catch.
If the plastic housing cracked, the magnet might have dropped into the washing drum. To overcome this, place a magnet on the position where the plastic catch will contact the washer when the lid is close.

SOURCE: Machine won't restart after reset, 'start/pause' button flashing.

Hello,

When you put it to drain/spin does the pump make any attempt to drain,if not it could be that there is something stuck in the pump,needs draining manually.Another thing to try is to find the fault code.If you hold down the 2 buttons on the far right of panel then press on/off button till lights start chasing,then release the 2 buttons on right hand side.Now the first function button by the on/off button you will need to press until the light above the button reaches the 9th or 10th position this will give you a read out in the display.
E10 = low water press.
E20 = pump or filter.
E30 = press. switch or heater faults.
E40 = Door swich.
E50 = motor.
Some of these numbers can vary there are more but those are the most common.After checking codes switch off machine then back on twice to reset.

Hope this helps.

Hot point washer VVSR1040V1WW stops after fill on rinse. But slight nudge to dial, it goes. What part to replace and how?

Sometimes a washing machine timer needs a little nudge to get it to fill. Call it manufacturing tolerance.

The knob action you describe is normal.

Why is the SP light flashing when the machine has filled with water and is ready to go

sp is the code for stand by or pause
so if you have set a soak period then it will stay there until the soak period has finished
if it is sp and you have pressed pause/start extra time the machine is in pause mode until you press start again

WASHING MACHINE stopped in mid-cycle

if it stops at the drain and spin cycle check the lid switch,open the lid,set the washer to spin cycle and pull out the timer knob,stick a screw driver into the hole where the strike from the lid goes into and push down,if you don't hear a clicking sound when you push down on the switch in the hole then you have a bad lid switch but if your machine does run sometime it sounds like the switch will work if you push down on it,could be cracked where the screws go into it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5aW9WkTFhE watch video on how to replace it.if you do hear a clicking sound when you open and close the lid or push down with the screw driver you could have a bad timer but check the lid switch first
