When i turned it on it started to turn on and off by itself.
There is some short circuit inside the TV circuit board. In most cases, this type of fault will be due to a faulty main digital board. Your TV need a through checkup. This is going to sound stupid, but I have a 42" Philips plasma that'd been having the same problem lately. Eventually, I checked the power cord--have you ever noticed that the cord just hangs straight down from the bottom of the set? My guess is that over time, it slowly gets loosened by gravity, just a bit, so you get a fluttery power connection. Anyway, it didn't feel loose, but I pushed the power cord in as hard as I could, and I haven't had a problem since.
