typically, its not practiced to attempt to change components on a control board. Too many things could go wrong as well as time involved.
Usually, its best to replace the whole board. Not only will it take a fraction of the time, but the new board will come with a warranty of some type. Whereas repairing an existing board comes with no warranty at all.
On top of everything, you have to remember that something happened to damage that board to the point where a component of the board failed. Which means chances are high that the board could cause the same problem again or another problem altogether.
