Question about Sony Net MD Walkman MZ-N1 Personal MiniDisc Player

Open Question

Read error I have recently tanken my MZ-N1 apart to soee why it keeps getting Read error come up. It appears that it can manage to read the disc, however I have noticed that the disc stops whilst the track plays for 1 minute or so (I guess from a buffer). As soon as the disc starts spinning again it fails to continue playing - as if it has lost its position on the disc. Read error appears and the Minidisc shuts off. If you keep it spinning in the first place (by holding fast forward) it will read the whole disc. Can you help?

Try to use the manual probably causing no sound is the way how you recorded the sounds. Possible wrong settings you set the minidisc check the manual click below http://www.user-manuals.com/shopping_cart.php

You can download the driver and the sonic stage software ( which is required for transfering music ) from this link : http://support.sony-europe.com/dna/md/nmd/nmd.aspx?l=en&m=MZ-N710

I hope this will solve your issue.

Good Luck

Hi. I have a Sony MZ-N710 Mini-Disc Walkman which wont read discs and also does not charge. If power is connected via the charging station or directly, or via external battery adapter the spinning disc...

Possible that the optical head unit has failed in your walkman and might need a replacement. It will be adviceable to seek the cost factor of a replacement unit of Sony that might turn out expensive ... to the entire cost of the set.
So unless the optical head reads there is no data transfer or processing.
