Question about Panasonic BL-C10A Network Camera

Open Question

Camera flashes amber after resetting but then goes solid amber instead of green

When I type in the ethernet address in Easy Setup it says Preparing network configuration based on this computers network settings. Sometimes I get another dialog asking to confirm IP numbers but it takes a long time and nothing seems to happen. I never get a green light on the camera. I'm plugged in via ethernet but my connection on this computer is normally wireless so it's active also. Do I need to disable my wireless connection on the computer?

In order to adjust your audio and video settings, please follow the steps given below:
1. Click the Audio and Video Settings button directly below the My Buddy or My Camera window. If you are currently participating in an AOL Live Video IM session, a message will display: You must disconnect the current AOL Live Video IM conversation before running setup. Would you like to disconnect now? Click the Yes button.
2. The Audio and Video Tuning Wizard will appear to help you verify that your camera, speakers and microphone are working properly. Follow the on-screen prompts.
Notes:
· The first time you use AOL Live Video IM, a message will display: Would you like to first check your audio and video settings? Click the Yes button. The Audio and Video Tuning Wizard will appear to help you verify that your camera, speakers and microphone are working properly. Follow the on-screen prompts.

Hope this helps. Bud

If it clicks 10 times and the light flashes 10 times then your inferred safety beams are out of alignment. Make sure they are both on solid. One should have a green light and one should have an amber light. Make sure the green light is on solid and bright.

Amber light blinking next to ethernet cable

In most cases an amber lights are usually just connection lights. They let you know the ethernet cable is connected and able to transfer data.
You will want to ensure the printer has a static ip address set in it's configuration, otherwise the ip address will change from time to time causing print issues.

No network access. Can not ping. Solid amber light on top and solid green on bottom on NIC card.

Have you printed a configuration page to see if it reset the IP address?
If the IP has not somehow changed, then try simply removing and reseating the network boards. Pretty easy to do, remove the screws and just slide the assembly out and back in to clean the contacts.
If those two things dont fix it then the NIC board is bad. Pretty rare that that board fails.

Hello, I've followed the steps to set up my tv-ip100(w)-n trendnet camera, but when I open the setup, the camera can't be found to run the wizard. any ideas? I've tried turning off windows firewall,...

I need you to plug it back in using the Ethernet connection.

You will need to change the ip address on your lan adapter.

When you plug the Ethernet cable into your computer there should be two little computers that popup on the lower right hand corner of your screen. You need to right click the computers then select (STATUS), (PROPERTIES), (INTERNET PROTOCOL TCP/IP), (SELECT THE BUBBLE THAT SAYS (USE THE FOLLOWING IP ADDRESS). THEN TYPE THE FOLLOWING:

IP ADDRESS= 192.168.10.31 THEN HIT THE TAB KEY

THE SUBNET MASK SHOULD AUTO FILL.

THEN CLICK (OK) AND (OK AGAIN).

OPEN AN INTERNET EXPLORER BROWSER

TYPE 192.168.1.30 IN THE ADDRESS BAR AT THE TOP.

USERNAME: admin

PASSWORD: admin

That's it your in if you need help with the setup let me know.

When you have completed the setup of the camera you will need to go back into the network adapter setting and select the (OBTAIN ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY BUBBLE) in order to get back on your local network.

Thanks,

Chad

I have 2 comtrend dh-10pf powerline adapters. one of the adapters status is a red flashing light and the AP light and the Ethernet light are blank. the second powerline adapter has a solid red status...

Hi,
To start you need to factory reset both adapters,
plug them both into a wall socket next to each other, press the config/f reset button, hold in until ap light goes off, repeat on the other one.
Now you should have a red status light on both.
Press the config/f reset button on one for about 5 seconds, wait until ap light stays on, this one is now your access point (ap) that should be plugged in to your router when you have finished config.
Now press the ap adapter config button again for about 5 seconds until ap light flashes, then press the config button on the other adapter until ap light flashes, wait until they both stop flashing, wait a few seconds, the status light on both adapters should be green, and one adapter should have an amber ap light.
Hope this helps.
