Bought 2 new gardenia in 9cm pots, have re-potted into large container, they have had feed and water, yet they seem to be dying off

It could be that the container they are in is too big. The top layers of soil are the first to dry up so if a container is too large for the plants, the nutrients and water could be washed down beyond the smaller plants reach. I would start by having the soil tested at a local plant and tree nursery. Over time minerals and salts can build up in soil to levels that may be tolerable for a larger plant that has grown in that soil it\'s entire life, but will mean doom and death to smaller plants or different types of plants. If the soil tests ok,. then I\'d try a smaller container. I\'m no expert, this is just from my own experience. Hope it helps.

Why is my plant brown?

Many reason could cause it. The water is not getting all the way to the leaf, it gets either hot or cold freeze temperatures at some point during the day, too many toxicity on its environment, lack of nutrients on the water. I try some Basic H from Shaklle first, it been use for decades to increase water absorption on agriculture among many other things, and then if that is not enough, some miracle grow, which is a load of minerals for the plants.

What is the best grow lights to grow *********

That depends on what you're trying to grow and what phase the plant is in. Certain plants are adapted to grow in the shade or in warm, sunny environments. Depending on the plant, one type of light may work better than another. For example, if your plant needs a shadier environment, then a regular incandescent bulb may work best.

The other factor that goes into choosing the right grow light is what phase your plant is at. For example, a high-pressure sodium bulb may be best when your plant is in the flowering or fruiting stage.

Personally, I love using LED grow lights. Modern LED bulbs are more energy-efficient (they produce more light with less power), so they cost less in the long run. They also produce less heat, which means you don't have to worry about a ventilation system. Plus, they emit light wavelengths that correspond to the peak absorption peaks for most plants.

When choosing your bulb, you should look at the requirements of the plant and how those requirements change as the plant continues to grow. Keep in mind that the larger your plant gets, the more light it will need, so plan ahead.

Garden landscape lights not working

Is the timing wheel moving? It sounds like the low voltage side of the transformer is out. Have you tried turning the 'manual' switch on? If you unplug the box and take the bottom off, there may be a fuse, it might be worth a look. other wise you will need a new transformer box. Which one you say, Add up the lights, figure 18 watts per and do the math. (10 lights @ 18 watts ea =180 watts.) You would get at least a 200 watt transformer.

Growing lights Types

There are three major types of lighting systems available right now: incandescent, fluorescent, and high intensity discharge. Incandescent lights are horribly inefficient (especially the screw-in "grow bulb" type) and really not an acceptable option for plant growth. Although they are inexpensive to purchase, their cost of operation makes them the costliest source of light.
