• E-99: Changer malfunction, disc may be caught in machine or changer requires service.
Unfortunately the E99 code is not definitive. There may be a mechanical jam with the changer or a problem with the motor.

When I push cd on the stereo E99 flashes. what does E 99 mean?

The E99 error message is something to do with being unable to read the CD correctly.

There is not a lot you can do apart from making sure that there is only 1 CD in the tray and it is seated correctly and the lasar lens is not dirty.

This lens can be cleaned using a cotton bud dipped in Iso-Propyl alcohol or by buying a cleaning CD...which is a CD with bristles in it. This is coated in cleaner and allowed to spin inside the unit.

These items can be obtained off Ebay.

The above usually cures around 70% of problems.

Cd will not play and keeps ejecting

source http://www.kenwood.nl/support/veelgestelde_vragen/ Changer Error Codes ? E-00: Poor Cable connection. ? E-01: Magazine not properly set in changer. ? E-02: No Disc in magazine. ? E-03: CD does not have selected track number. ? E-04: Disc is dirty, upside down or unreadable. ? E-10: No data is recorded on the MD. The player plays the next disc automatically. ? E-99: Changer malfunction, disc may be caught in machine or changer requires service. Sounds like the mech is gummed up, jammed, or a cd is stuck inside. Get a nerd to open it up and check it over. Luck
