Question about Televison & Video
It may have a feature to lock the front controls out, what are you trying to do and do you have the original Mitsubishi remote.
If set can be turned on and stay on this set does have a hidden menu for a full reset, puts all except convergence back to factory and is done with the MItsubishi remote and a 4 number code--I have the codes for all three hidden menus this set has.
Let me have some clear idea of what you are after, I am careful as the codes in the wrong hands can be misused and really mess the set up.

look for the CONVERGENCE settings either behind a small panel on the front or through the menu with the remote control

This model was first made in 2002 and is a V21 Mitsubishi chassis.
I presume the front input or device button does not do anything.
This (if it is a WS-55511) has an option code that can be accessed. It will reset everything back to the condition the set was in when it was new in the box; once executed you will have to put it in the cable band and autoprogram it----email me if you need instructions for this and I will give them to you.
If this was helpful I would appreciate a vote from you.

If it is WS-55859 and you go into the customer menu and find red or blue are skewed and will not adjust---you have a convergence problem.
This model uses a single STK-393-110 convergence chip--it and any of the protect resistors around it that are bad will need to be replaced and the set adjusted.
The chip can be purchased on Ebay for about 12 dollars plus shipping--total parts cost should be under 30 dollars!
I HAVE START TO FINISH, STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS REPAIR IN THIS MODEL.
They tell you everything you will need and how to do the repair---If you or someone you know can do it I can post or get the instructions to you.
If you cannot do it shop around your area--most shops are going to get 300 or MORE for this kind of repair and many will not do in in your home--Any good tech can do it in your home in about 1 hour--I know as I have done hundreds of them.
